Dr. Janet Matuszek, DO

She wrong in her diagnosis.

Dr. Matuszek is outstanding! She is so personable and caring about all of her patients. She only delivered my middle child just due to timing of the births, however, after my 3rd was born she stopped by the hospital the next morning after she had a surgery at a different hospital to give me a hug and congratulate me. She goes the extra mile!

The best doctor I have ever seen! Compassionate, funny, & great bedside manner

I have been a patient of Dr. Matuszeks for about 7 years and I have recommended her to several of my friends and family. She and her staff delivered both of our kids and they are all wonderful!!

I would not have anyone else deliver my babies! Dr. Matusek is the greatest!

Being new to the area, Dr. Janet Matuszek was highly recommended from many people across the area. I made an appointment for a yearly check up. I was very satisfied and surprised at the warm welcome I received from the doctor and her staff!! My tests were not completely normal and I had to have a followup procedure. I was scared but the nurse was reassuring when she called me with the results, the medical assistant put me at ease and Dr. Matuszek had the best bedside manner when explaining everything in detail prior to and during the entire procedure. I'm so glad I chose her. I never thought I would say this, but I look forward to my next visit and if all is well.....a baby soon!

Dr. Matuszek is "rough" (quote from her staff). Every pap I received from her would result in bleeding and cramping. I actually thought this was normal since she was the only OB I'd had since I was 15. It was incredibly painful and I feared my annual exams. When I was 26 I had an abnormal pap and required a colposcopy. She yelled at me when I questioned the need for the colposcopy until I was in tears and she told me I was looking at a radical hysterectomy at the age of 26. I reluctantly went in for the colposcopy even though I knew she was rough. She made me look at the monitor to see my infected cervix which almost made me faint. She continued to tell me how horrible it looked until I did faint. It was a horrible experience, every pap was also a horrible experience. I've since switched doctors and have shared my experience with others only to learn I wasn't alone in experiencing bad things at Matuszeks office. My new doctor is wonderful, going to the OBGYN is no longer a fearful… dreaded appointment. Dr. Matuszeks staff was equally as bad, they actually talked bad about patients and co-workers while I sat in the waiting room and could hear every word. One time I was the topic of conversation. I'm not sure why I stayed so long but I'm so glad I switched and I'm finally Writing this review in hopes of preventing someone else from having to go through the pain and humiliation I went through. Going to the OBGYN shouldn't be a horribly dreaded experience. There are good compassionate doctors out there. Doctors that treat you like a person, not just a cervix. There's no reason the OB should be "rough" or yell at you, it is not ok for someone, especially your doctor to treat you like that.

I was a new patient and I was very please with how Dr Matuszek took the time to get to know my first before probing at me. She made me feel very comfortable with her. I would definitely recommend her as I was by a receptionist in the pediatrics department at St. Lukes. She spoke highly of her and I do agree.

Finally, a doctor who is friendly, caring and understanding!

I really enjoy seeing Dr Matuszek and think she has the best obgyn in St Peters by far. I was really disappointed to hear her nurse Autumn left. She was one of the best assets to the office. She always seemed to have a smile on her face when talking to me and absolutely knew the ins and outs of obgyn. The other staff is wonderful as well.
