Dr. Janice Eileen Eggert, MD

I would avoid this physician at all costs. After a procedure done by her, I am now blind and am losing my actually eye. To make matters worse, when I awoke from surgery I told her and the nurses I was blind and she laughed and told me it was blurry refusing to listen. She tried this again the next day but I had someone else there to advocate for me, she referred me to someone else who found the significant damage that had been done and the time to save the eye had been past. She is very unprofessional and as a result it can have a high cost, in this instance it was my vision and eye.

I went to Dr. Eggert because I was diagnosed with cancer of the lower left eye. I left the office feeling remorse, fear, and ignorant of my final outcome. All she said was skin would be taken from my upper eye to cover the surgery. 'Eggert did not explain what I would like or if the appearance would be grossly different from my right eye. Also, the issue of plastic surgery in case my eye looked terrible never was presented whatsoever. Eggert may be a good eye doctor, but I'm scared to death of her. She finally sent me a kind of memo for updates, but when I called the office, a "clerk" type of person said she would relay the situation. It's been over 2 1/2 weeks and I haven't receive a call!

In 2003, Dr Janice Eggert MD, Las Vegas, saved my life, angel of mercy that she is! :) . She removed squemus cell skin cancer growth at corner of rt eye that had invaded the tear duct, destroying it. Dr Eggert was able to remove all the cancer and replace the tear duct with a temporary one. It was a very stressful time of my life when my husband Cliff was in stage 4 pancreatic cancer, so I did not realize that I had skin cancer at rt eye. It was a tiny sore that appeared to heal then erupt sometimes with crusty edge, again & again. My family doctor, Dr Mark Day, DO, Henderson, visually discovered the skin cancer in a regular checkup, referred me to Dr Eggert for consultation. Without Dr Day and Dr Eggert I most likely would not be here in 2018 to talk about it, bless their hearts! For those who read this, my advice is, if you have any small skin growths that seem to heal & then erupt again & again, or moles that change, even a tiny bit, don't wait! See your Doctor/ your… Dermatologist immediately. Dr Janice Eggert is very thorough and caring. :)

Dr. Eggert is an excellent oculoplastic, orbital and reconstruction surgeon. I had a sagging and unsightly lower eyelid which an attempt to repair was made previously by another physician. During my consultation with Dr. Eggert, she explained the procedure and instilled in me great confidence that she could correct the condition--and this she did. The procedure was a repair with myocutaneous flaps and canthopexy--or running a flap of skin from the eyelid around and under the lower eyelid to push the sagging lower eyelid up.

Stay Away from Dr. Eggert My eyes will never be as good as they were since Dr. Eggert operated on me for Ptosis. lifting of the lids to see and look better. I cannot see now as well as I use to. The light bothers my eyes. I am in terrible pain most of the time. I feel like I have sand in one of my eyes.Mostly in the morning. All the eye drops won't make it better. I have wrinles I ever had on my lids. There is a scar over my eye. It has been a year now and I am still suffering.

Had eyelids done - damage to both trigeminal nerves from pulling too tight - will be on meds rest of my life for pain. Recommended a brow life and stitched a diagonal line on hairline instead of stitching on scalp where it would have been hidden by hair - bangs forever for me.

Contrary to the multiple negative reviews apparently posted by "one" disgruntled employee or patient, my experience with Dr. Eggert was outstanding.I went to her for a Temporal Arteritis biopsy which involved removing a segment of a temporal artery. This surgery was performed at Sunrise hospital and was very successful. It healed rapidly with no complications and no visible scar. The pre-surgery and post-surgery office visits were very professional. Dr. Eggert was always caring and compassionate. The office and exam rooms were immaculate. The staff was friendly and professional.Dr. Eggert was recommended by several other doctors I know and respect in Las Vegas and she is one of the best surgeons I have encountered in my 30 years in this area. If you check with other physicians in the area I believe you will come to the same conclusions.

I think Dr Eggert needs to be more friendly and not have such an attitude towards her patients!
