Dr. Jason Eric Edling, MD

I have been with Dr. Edling for over 20 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. You can ask him anything and he doesn't make you feel like he is needing to rush off until you are okay. Yes, you might have to wait like other reviews say but you understand why once he is answering your questions. I trust him totally.

As a person with 40+ years of healthcare experience, I am picky when it comes to selecting my physicians. Dr. Edling is an excellent physician, knowledgeable, caring, takes his time when seeing his patients (which means you might wait to see him beyond your appointment time). Totally worth the wait. Wait time can vary from 45 minutes to zero minutes. He is busy, so getting into see him may not be the next day. Still, he's worth it.

Unprofessional, He cancelled my appointment after I waited 45mins. Already charged my credit card for the co-pay.

This is the worst doctor office. You cannot get someone to answer the phone. If you have seen other doctors before, they won't see you. There is no professional ethics here.

It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment in the same week you called, but the office staff are always pleasant and try very hard to get you in. I have seen Dr. Edling for many years and never want to change doctors, he is so very professional, easy going, explain everything to make sure you understand and never rushed, he will answer all your questions and does not make you feel uncomfortable asking any questions. I am sure that's why it's hard to get an appointment with him, because he always spend a lot of time with his patient. he is not one of those come in see you for 30 seconds then gone kind of doctor. I'm willing to pay the price of inconvenience of waiting for appoint or waiting in the waiting room, because I know when I get to see him, I have his undivided attention and he has my best interest in mind. He is exceptional and kind, I really don't think he deserve those negative comments .

I hate to put this review, but I had a really bad experience. 2 yrs ago I have seen a doctor in the same hospital for my Digestive problems. Currently I was not seeing any GI, and got appointment with Dr Edling. I waited 3 weeks for the day and just 1 day before the appointment, his nurse called me and told they are cancelling because I have seen some GI 2 yrs ago and Dr Edling would see only a new patient. What kind of professionalism is this? This is bad. A patient doesn't even have the option to choose his doctor?

Dont let them know that you have ever seen another GI doctor before or they will not see you! They dont believe in the patients right to chose or have a second opinion. I dont uderstand why doctors care more about fellow doctors than helping and caring for the hurting? Whats wrong with doctors and their stupid policies? Whatever happen to the doctors who actually care about people verses themsleves. I would not recomend anyone to Texas Digestive Disease Concultants ever!

It has been 5 weeks since I submitted all the forms they asked for, and I still can't get the appointment from Dr. Endling. That doctor's practice is so different from all the other doctors I have seen. When I made a phone call to that doctor's office 5 weeks ago, they asked me to download and fill out all forms and fax back to them. After that, they told me that Dr. Endling would review my forms and would instruct staff to call me back to make the appointment. Since then, I called them on weekly basis because I never heard anything from them, but every time (only when they picked up phone) they told me that Dr. Endling still had not reviewed my forms yet so they could't make appointment for me. If that doctor did not like to take new patient, it is ok for me. But I would like to know that in front so that I don't waste my time for waiting. It was very frustrating experience.

Dr. Edling is exceptional, keeps you informed and lets you know his concerns. I would recommend him to anyone including my family members.
