I don't know what happened to this place but it changed for the worst. Before 911 my family always chose Methodist north for our families health care. The doctors and nurses were wonderful and caring. When my father-in-law died from cancer they did everything they could to give him a fighting chance to beat the cancer and at the same time they tried to give him a good quality of life while he fought the cancer. He wanted to live long enough to see his first grandchild. They were kind, caring and compassionate. But when I came back from my last tour from Afghanistan I had to go through surgery's and rehab for some of the wounds I received on my final tour. I didn't find the same hospital. I spent three years and six months on incap orders going through surgeries and physical therapy to recover as much as I could . I can't complain about the skills of the surgeons and physical therapist. But the attitudes and atmosphere of the surgeons and nurses was far from caring and compassionate and… it has gotten far worse since then. Resently my good friend had a emergency and was unfortunately transported to Methodist north hospital ER and was even more unfortunate to have to spend a week in that miserable excuse for a hospital. She was treated by some of the sorriest doctors and nurses I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. Lucky for them I didn't meet them in Afghanistan because if I had they certainly would not have enjoyed meeting me. They seem to suffer from high opinions of themselves. I suffer from no such similar opinion. Because any opinion I have concerning them is neither high nor good. In the future for their sakes I hope I never find myself in the ER of Methodist North. Bevause I will not suffer the same fools I saw my good friend suffer It is my hope that Methodist north hospital will find their way back to the place my family found when we needed the kind of hospital and health care providers that they were when we needed. Most. I wish them well.
