Dr. Robert Neal Aguillard, MD

This is the most disorganized doctor's office I have ever been too. Hard to get anyone to call back. Hard to get a straight answer from any staff member. Awful place!!!

Knows what he's doing. Easy to talk too.

Dr Aguillard is no different than other "Drs" I have met in this field. He shows little interest and has less time to discuss the specific issues a patient may wish to inquire about. He is abrupt, cuts you off in mid-sentence and makes you feel rushed. The only redeeming thing I can say about Aguillard is that some of his techs who work with and monitor patients are so horrendous that he looks good by comparison. I can not overstate how strongly I recommend finding a different care provider. They just do not care about you or your medical conditions.

I had only one visit with this doctor, and found his manner to be flippant and rushed. I felt I was keeping him from his golf game. I also resented having to put up with a Fox news broadcast while waiting for tests. Although Dr. Aguillard did come up with a diagnosis of my problem, which my earlier physicians had been unable to do, I learned of the diagnosis by phone from a staff person who clearly did not know much about it, and was given no explanation of the disease or instruction about how to use a nebulizer or even what a nebulizer was. I never spoke to him again, but my dealings with the women in his office were appalling. These women were rude and uninformed. I had to go elsewhere to get the information I needed and asked my primary physician to find me another pulmonary specialist.

I liked Dr. Aguillard just fine. He seems like a really nice guy. I felt like the actual time with him was a bit rushed though...maybe 10 minutes...maybe. The nurse who took my vitals was nice and efficient. The front desk and the people who set up the sleep study just seemed rushed and wanted to get you in and out. I guess I could understand that if the place was busy, but the waiting room only had maybe 5-6 people in it when I was there. Instead of telling me about the sleep study itself, I was referred to their website. Not a problem for me, but I thought they might have explained a little more. What if I didn't have access to the Internet? Just my 2 cents.
