Dr. Jay Harrison Harvey, DO

I've been seeing Dr. Harvey for over 10 yrs. The number of seizures I had been having had spiked and my neurologist sat my wife and I down to talk about brain surgery. We told him we needed a 2nd opinion and then he got us in for an appt with Dr Harvey in days. Dr Harvey recognized I was being over-prescribed on my Rx and - problem solved - no more constant seizures as they were reduced to the minimum amt I had before. I definitely recommend seeing Dr Harvey (an epileptologist) - and cannot recommend him enough. He never rushes you out the door and takes the time to listen to your questions and answer them. i have seen Dr. Harvey since i was in my mid 20's i started having seizers when i was 14 on thanksgiving morning and no Dr could find out what was causing them and one dr said it was my mom and then i went to Dr Harvey and he done all kinds of test and found out what the true reason i have them he cares about his patients and works to find out the best way to treat your seizers thank you Dr Harvey for all that you have done for me

I was referred to dr. Harvey by a different nuerologist after having myoclonic type seizures most my whole life. I basicly thought I was just going to have to "deal" with them the rest of my life! I'd had them basicly for 25 yrs till they just got so bad I was miserable! Dr. Harvey & his staff are awesome people! Very attentive & want to do nothing but help you get back to "life" ASAP. He was for sure a blessing & answered pray for me, as I'm sure as to others. Thank u, Dr.Harvey you gave me hope again:)

Before finally seeing Dr. Harvey I've seen neurologists then I was told see an epileptologist (Dr. Harvey) and the difference in my care and recovery has been night and day.Their office staff is courteous and professional and Dr. Harvey spends more than the usual 10 minutes talking to me and doing the usual "heel-to-toe walking" and "follow-my-pen with your eyes" tests you get with every other neurologist. He asks me questions and seems genuinely interested in how I am doing, not rushing me out the door. Making sure I have asked all the questions I have. He's a good guy.I can't recommend Dr. Harvey enough.

I was a 34 year old female when I first became a patient of Dr. Harvey. He was treating me for siezers that just started out of the blue and he began treating them as epileptic siezers but later said that they were sudo-symatic and remommended I see a psychologist. And about a three months after that I had massive stroke from a blood clot that got to my brain and made me paralysed on my left side and disabled me for the rest of my life. Please do not allow this doctor to tell you that your siezers are just in your head and you just need to see a psychologist.

He is very caring and personable because he listens with great intensity to learn about what's happening with his patients, and then he sets out to correct anything that needs it and won't let you go until he AND you are satisfied with the solution(s). You may call to leave a message, fax, or write him a letter. If you you require a response, YOU WILL GET ONE THAT DAY if you call early enough. He is an excellent neurologist, closer to AWESOME!
