I have visited Dr. Baylor's office with chronic eczema that bothers my ears and occasionally creates severe ear infections. Both he and his PA are extremely professional and quick to resolve these issues when I visit. Very easy to make appointments and his office staff are helpful and friendly as well. Nice practice!
Dr. Baylor has the knowledge and perhaps the skill. However, when challenged by an honest answer to a question, or a difference of opionion than his own he becomes smug. If it isn't what he wants to hear then he becomes pompous instead of realizing that NOT everyone can prescribe to ONE way (his way) of treatment. Sometimes, people know their own bodies more than the doctor does. Not all remedies work for everyone and there may be other options that are better. When being treated for allergies the allergy department and Dr. Baylor in the beginning were great at working around my schedule due to my unusual work schedule. However, as time went on and after the ever important survey that I filled out complimenting the flexibility of the Allergy department; things changed. The flexibility of coming in for the shots on my day off was immediately STOPPED. The Allergy Department needs to understand that MOST companies do NOT let people just come by on the Doctor's Office Schedule. Some large companies actually follow rules and will NOT just give you time to go get allergy shots at the dictated days and times of the doctor's office. Sometimes, things have to be worked out for the customer (patient's) convenience. Otherwise, be prepared to fill out legal paperwork such as FMLA to allow the person to make it to the MANDATED two days and times of the week that allergy shots are given (during my work hours); which the Allergy Department scoffed at!! OR expect the patient to choose to refuse allergy shot treatment because they don't feel like eating up all of their vacation time in order to get the allergy shots. After all, they have been dealing with the allergies ALL OF THEIR LIFE and allergy shots didn't really seem to make such a big difference at all when you have hayfever or are allergic to common things in the enviroment such as grass and trees and mold. It is kind of hard to stay away from grass and trees and mold unless you don't go outside at all!!!! Which would be fine if you want to write a script that I can work from home and not go outside. However, my company would NOT accommodate that and I would lose my job instead. So, how about do what a doctor is supposed to do and try to figure out a REAL way to alleviate the allergies that is more practical than allergy shots. Especially, since you all are STONE WALLING a patient into coming ONLY on the days YOU decide!! Work schedules fluctuate and are NOT always conducive to your dictated Office Rules!!! However, my insurance company paid your doctor's office for the treatment to the tune of THOUSANDS of dollare and actually, that is what it felt like to me that it was all about . . . . the money . . . . the insurance . . . . but here is the patient after completing the allergy treatment for more than two years . . . . . . still suffering . . . . same as it EVER was!!! At least all of you got paid and get to keep your job!! All you can say is to go through the shots AGAIN!! Another two years of being snidely ridiculed that I can't make it on the DICTATED DAYS and times that I am actually working? Another visit where the doctor is pompous about how good the allergy shots are and I am NOT really that allergic to grass, trees and mold, yet I don't feel any real relief and then I am pompously told that my allergies aren't that bad . . . . then why am I going through the allergy shots in the first place Mr. Pompous?

Before meeting Dr. Baylor, his PA Kellie came in to see me. I thought she was very unproffessional. Her overall appearance was unbeffiting for such a practice. Very laid back - too laid back. Not able to fully explain things to me either. Meeting Dr. Baylor was such a delight. I will gladly come back to see him if warranted.
I wanted to write this because people seem to write about the bad snd not the good. So something good tthat has come from having my vocal chords paralyzed us that I have Dr Baylor. He diagnosed me in the hospital after a mishap during surgery and left me his card" in case I wanted to come see him.". He has followed my case, done surgery twice , openly accepted my seeking a surgical procedure out of town and following me afterwards. He has been nothing but kind, honest, and understanding which isn't easy with me and this trach. If you want an open, honest, intelligent, compassionate Dr. , then you can't miss with him.
