Dr. Jennifer Beth Kaplan, MD

What to say here, other than stay away. Worst experience, longest time I have ever waited, and with an infant no less, and the doctor acted bored by my being there and annoyed when I had questions. Will never return.

We had a very bad experience with Dr. Kaplan and her office staff today. After getting stuck in traffic for an hour on our way to our daughter's 1 year exam, we were 13 minutes late. The office staff was rude and not the slightest bit understanding or flexible, despite the fact that our daughter hasn't been eating, and my wife was very ill the whole way to the appointment. Dr. Kaplan came out to speak with us, and was equally unhelpful, as we had violated her policy by 3 minutes and she was already with another patient. We were offered the option of the standby list, or to wait for the end of the day for a chance to get in. We chose not to - and switched pediatricians right there on the spot. We will not go back. In our previous three appointments we had waited 30 mins, 30 mins and 1 hour 20 minutes to be seen. Very disappointed in how this was handled, and the office staff was rude with quite an attitude. We were referred to several times as "you parents" and were blamed for making… the doctor continually late. Based on how chronically late they have been for previous visits, they are obviously making accomodations for some, but not all.

I went to visit this practice because I am pregnant and needed to find a pediatrician. When I arrived I was told about a 90.00 consultation fee that I wasn't told about when I made the appointment.I sat and waited about 10 minutes which was great. I was brought into a regular room where patients were seen. It was rather depressing looking and not what I expected from a pediatricians office. It would have been a little scary for a child.When Dr. Kaplan came in the room she was very cold. Didn't shake my hand or wish me congratulations. I told her about the consult fee and she barely apologized. She then asked why I was there. Well, I thought it was pretty obvious - I was there to meet her and get a feel for the practice.I asked a few questions and with each one she had made me feel if I was a stupid school aged child. I am extremly well educated and didn't appreciate being talked down to in that manner.I would not recommend this practice to anyone.
