Dr. Jennifer Dale Marshak, MD

I went to see Dr. M to discuss coming off birth control. I explained all the side effects I was experiencing and she shot down every claim. Stating that my symptoms are not due to birth control despite them being well documented side effects. She never made eye contact and barely inquired on my symptoms. She was very insincere from start to finish, and was very clearly rushing me out with no usable feedback despite my concerns. I was very upset during and following my visit and will not be returning. If you want a gyno that cares, is willing to talk and work with you to get to the root of the problem, Dr M. is not the doc for you.

I had a procedure done with Dr. Marshak today. It was my first time meeting her and it was my first time getting this procedure- that being said I was very apprehensive. She talked to me prior to the procedure, talked to me throughout the whole procedure and made something that was very scary for me a lot more bearable! It means a lot when a health care provider takes the time out to try and make you as comfortable as possible for something that is not comfortable. Thank you Dr. Marshak.

I had been going to her practice since I was a teenager, and recently left. I think she was actually much better in the beginning - as a new doctor, she seemed to genuinely care about her patients. Toward the end, she would be dismissive and say my symptoms were “psychological,” and would get annoyed with questions. The final straw was when I was diagnosed by my gastroenterologist with liver tumors (caused by birth control pills). I put in an appointment request, indicated it was pretty urgent because I was on birth control due to PCOS and had to come off, and never received an answer. (Now, after I am seeing another doctor, I keep getting letters from her to make an appointment. Go figure).

My experience with Dr. marshak was extremely disappointing. I was diagnosed with breast cancer as per imaging she did not give me the results of until a month later. I call but can never speak to her to discuss my treatment plan and when she called me she had no idea what my diagnosis even was, she simply called as a formality. She clearly does not know or genuinely care about her patients. I’ve found her negligence extremely unacceptable. I will be changing doctors.

I started going to Dr. Marshak last spring, I’m 30 have always had painful and long periods. She found I had a polyp in my uterus and suggested a D and C I went to another doctor to have procedure done due to insurance issues. Went back today for my annual PAP and she didn’t remember my situation at all didn’t even review my medical report, had lap top in her lap and was reading in front of me quite unprofessional. When I shared that the D and C did nothing if anything made it worse and that the report stated I may have fibroid tumors, Dr. Marshak became belligerent and rude wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise. She said I don’t have fibroids even though that’s not proven she also said I didn’t even have polyps even though she diagnosed me last year and I had them removed by another doctor. She continued to insult me by saying my periods are just a case of bad luck and I should either take the pill or have an IUD and I don’t believe in either. I’d like a partial hysterectomy and that… discussion makes her very angry. Not because she doesn’t believe in it simply because she fears I may regret it although I’ve been steadfast in my decision for years now and even said I’d sign legal documents to state this is my wish. Horrible bedside manner cold as ice and to be honest she is on a HUGE power trip ultimately because I wouldn’t agree to go on the pill or have an IUD inserted she declined to do my PAP and now I need to find a new doctor. She is a heartless person. She doesn’t listen at all. Additionally, her smithtown office is dirty and unsanitary the seats in the waiting room are cloth and have stains all over them I feared sitting on them would result in bed bugs or dust mites.

I feel Dr Marshak is one of the best doctors around. she is easy to talk to and ask questions to. I wish I knew if she is married or single. hoping single. I find her very beautiful. I don't think if she is single she would even giving me a look twice. I would love he to know who I am but I don't think she feels the same way toward me as I do to her.

Terrible Doctor. Terrible Bedside Manner. Rude, Uncaring and Cold. Just Terrible. Seeing another Doctor ASAP.

Dr Marshak has been my OBGYN since a teenager. She saw she throughout my whole first pregnancy and now during my second. Every visit is like the first time she is meeting me with, which is sad because I am been with her for so many years. She is always rushed , and doesn't allow you time to sit and discuss any issues or concerns. I must say she did deliver my child and was awesome . She was a great coach at the very end of the race. I just wish she would develop a better Patient/ Doctor relationship and show come more compassion. Pregnancy and child birth are one of the most important times of your life.

After my long time Doctor retired it was difficult to start over with a new one. Dr. Marshak is very professional and knowledgeable. She is well trained and thorough. I felt very confident in her care and would tell others to make appointments with her. Her questions were so she could get a full review of your life and health activity. Things change after a year and her questions hlep you answer that and perhaps approach a difficult question. Excellent doctor. J
