Dr. Jennifer White Pennoyer

This negative review isn’t against the PA, it’s the office staff. Receptionist, was very rude and cold upon my arrival. The younger receptionist at the other window was extremely pleasant though. I’m was humiliated when my temperature was taking in the waiting room by the medical assistant . I work at a business on Cottage Grove and my temperature was taken a couple hours prior, 98.7. When taking at the office 100.5 and she refused to take it again. She told me to leave immediately and pointed to the sign on the door. When I got home, temperature, 98.9. I did NOT have a fever. Needless to say, I will not be returning. It’s unfortunate because I really liked Lynn and I’ve been going to this office for about 5 years.

Very professional and friendly office. I have been seeing Lynn Fairchild PA for every three year skin checks she is extremely thorough and efficient. Love her calm and soothing voice and disposition. Explains all procedures and answers all my questions. Another great visit. Moiree

After two lousy experiences with Pennoyer Dermatology, neither of which actually had me consult with a doctor, my suspicions were confirmed: pick another dermatology practice. The first time I went I didn't actually see Dr. Pennoyer, but wasn't told this until I arrived in the office. The NP who saw me didn't know what to do about my skin issue after asking a large number of pre-visit general questions. Two years later, when my current derm was out for health reasons, I stupidly booked an appointment at Pennoyer. I arrived - the day before Thanksgiving - 12 minutes late and was told by an icy staffer I needed to reschedule because they don't take patients more than ten minutes late. I had traveled 35 minutes to get there in bad traffic. I managed my temper but told her I wouldn't be rescheduling. There are plenty of good dermatologists in the area - don't give your money to an impersonal corporate-type doctor who may not actually treat you in the first place.

Mediocre doctor. Her Staff is worse. They are money, disrespectful and non-caring people!

Had the laser treatment to lighten dark spots on my face. Paid $300 and saw no difference. Returned to the doctor's office and was told, "I guess your skin doesn't react to the laser." So I got a big nothing for what I paid. Doctor Pennoyer didn't seem at all bothered that I paid all that money for no results. All she did was suggest a chemical peel (so she could take more of my money.) There was no offer of applying any sort of partial credit towards another type of treatment. There is no way I will ever return here. I will find a dermatologist who cares more about results than finding ways to make more money.

This is the worst doctor's office I have ever been to. I am perplexed at why they are so busy. They have the most unprofessional and discourteous staff. I think the only reason they are as busy as they are is because their patients are not aware of any other dermatologists in the area. What office answer's the phone and tells an existing patient that they are not taking any patients this week, after the patient tells them that they have a mole that is changing colors.
