Dr. David A Barzilai, MD

Dr. Barzilai is an excellent provider, and I can confidently endorse him having seen him for years. He used to dictate his notes but was always kind and thorough. He uses a scribe now, which is even better. He explains things well to me, is smart, and has a good sense of humor. A lot of doctors feel unapproachable, but not him, he's like a regular guy but also an incredible doctor. He's the favorite dermatologist I've seen, with a margin. Can't recommend him enough.

I came to Dr. Barzilai with 2 issues: shingles and the sore on private part. First, Dr. Barzilai made his 2 sec examination with 2 other employees, one of them was not even a medical professional (maybe, clerical). I was not asked for permission to other people room. Second, being a dermatologist, Dr. Barzilai indicated that he did not have an experience with skin on private part and advised to see an urologist. I believe that he was a medical doctor (MD) and got training human skin issues. Such attitude is not acceptable. Third, the follow appointment he scheduled in 6 month - for shingles (!). I doubted that he was trained that shingles could last 6 months. What is it: incompetence or humiliation?

I have a history of melanoma and basil cell skin cancer. David Barzilai came in talking on a tape recorder. Introduced himself, asked me to turn around so he could see my back and then to turn around to the front, and to lower the gown to my waist all while talking on the recorder, asked me to sit and looked at my legs. I was there for no longer than 1 1/2 minutes. The worst dermatological experience.

My experience was that Dr. Barzilai dictated detailed medical notes, and also conducted a very comprehensive exam. In addition, his advice to obtain a second opinion from a surgeon was invaluable. Due to Dr. Barzilai's detailed medical notes, the surgeon I saw knew exactly what my problem was when I was seen; complete medical notes are very important. I will be seeing Dr. Barzilai again, and highly recommend him.

Great dermatology group! The desk secretary and his nurse were friendly and upbeat. Dr. Barzilai was prompt and thorough. By a week after he changed my medication, my rash started improving.

My experiences have been very positive. He treated me with respect and asked for my input when it came time for a plan. After examining me, he walked me through it and told me what I should expect. I had good results about a week after the first visit, and after a second shorter visit it went away. It has been about a month, and so far so good. I feel very comfortable under his care.

He was inexperienced [only in practice 3 yrs and would not do what my Physician requested] unhelpful, not concerned about me as a patient and my suffering, but in doing everything by the book for the insurance companies. Odd behavior, acted like a germophobe; would not shake my hand; elbow bumped instead; insulting ...told me my skin was SO DRY, but did not suggest any lotions; would not remove mole that irritate at waistband, on thigh and in hairline. Obviously afraid of insurance companies. Kept stating, "They won't cover this, they won't cover that..." Perhaps we should all quit our jobs and go on state aid so that we can get proper medical attention in this country? Find someone older with experience that cares about their patients health and well-being.

I had a skin tag procedure performed by Dr. Barzilai. I was a bit nervous, because the skin tags were in the center of my chest, and I didn't want any scarring there... Dr. Barzilai was kind, efficient, and very quick. I felt really relaxed and well taken care of. Best of all, I healed very fast, and there was no scarring!

Real quick with visits, does not take into consideration on what problems you may have and gives a half fast answer. After five visits still no answer or help. Keeps asking to come back without giving me any guidance or help. Worst Doctor I have ever been with.
