Dr. Jerrell Lee Driver, PhD

A few yrs ago i was taken to see Dr.Driver. He thoroughly tested me and found me to have combined type add-adhd. I had seen him a few times before he and i bothtested as he too took these tests but his answers were what he thought would be my answers from all he and i had talked about prior to taking these tests. Now what is most important here is firsthis test results and mine were nearly matching so that was fantastic in my opinion but he had finally found out what the biggest problem along with the longest standing problem to that date that i had been dealing with. First one must know what the problem is to treat it, correct? Of all of the doctors and counselors and shrinks i have gone to and FINALLY we got an answer that actually fit in every single way. Dr. Driver is a psychologist so he is not a pill factory because he talks you through things by working them out. He isnt a psychiatrist. They give you pills that only mask your problems although for some that might be whats… needed, atleast at that time. A psychologists approach is very much the opposite of a psychiatrists approach to our mental health as i understand it. I am still not on any medicines because i couldnt deal with all that ya have to go through to get the correct meds and then the dosing right. That can take so long and especially when you are on alot of other medicines for your mental health. What has this diagnosis done for me then.....well, i now understand some very important things about myself and my behaviors and my actions. THAT is worth so much to me because it has been through these understandings that i can now say i no longer need many of the medicines i had been taking because i have learned how to handle some things such as serious anxiety issues without taking any pills for this. The main cause for my anxiety was stemming from my add/adhd combo. Knowing is half the battle but then arming yourself with knowledge about this illness as well as the many different ways that might work for you and then trying them is the other half. Thanks Dr. Driver...life isnt perfect for me but the quality of my life is certainly much better for me. Its been a long long road but through your help and your advices i have changed some things and it has helped me alot. This man is a quack ! He had me take a 540 question true or false test. Then had me return so he could review the test with me. I mind you I was there for an psych evaluation for weightloss surgery.This man accused of being alcoholic ! When I continuously told him I do not even drink he went on to say that I tested high enough to need to go to rehab. I felt really insulted and was furious by time I left there!! Beware !!
