Dr. Jess Ting, MD

My experience with Jess Ting and Mount Sinai was not pleasant at all and he botched my SRS! My results are hideous and I wish I’d never gone to him! His staff is incompetent and unorganized and getting in contact with him and his staff is frustrating and very unprofessional! He needs to be barred from performing SRS and go back to what he was doing!

Very sad because had poor outcome from his repair of facial injury. Although he may have tried his best, ultimately his technique was probably poor because I know others who had similar facial injuries repaired by other plastic surgeons who were not left with such a poor outcome.

I was the support person for a friend who received an MtF bottom surgery. She almost died from pure neglect on the part of Dr. Ting. Here is a list of the neglect that she endured; vitals were not taken even one time in post-surgery office visits, her patient rights were violated by his nursing staff which caused her to have a complication due to the staff pulling her out of bed just a few hours after the surgery. It goes on from there...she was denied pain medication after day ten, lied to regarding her condition, they refused to address the fact that she had an ongoing fever and subsequent infection. We had to go to another doctor to get pain medicine and to have her infection treated. We are reporting this doctor and his staff to the Board of NY surgeons and to the Board of Nursing. Do not put your life in the hands of this pompous surgeon if you value your comfort and health! My friend is at this time, three-month post surgery in constant pain and is still battling a low-grade… fever. Dr. Ting has refused to see my friend despite her complications due to the fact that he is aware of our total shock of his very, very poor care and bedside manner.

I was 28 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, for as terrified as I was Dr Ting entered my exam room and made that fear disappear. I trusted him completely with my care, and for two years he fought hard to give me the reconstruction I desired. It wasn’t easy as my body kept rejecting everything, and I had a lot of trouble healing after chemo but Dr Ting never gave up on me. He was always a phone call or email away if I needed him for even the smallest worry he made sure I was informed and comforted. I don’t know how I would have gotten through the most difficult time of my life without him. When he told me we had reached the end of my journey and I wouldn’t see him every week but only once a year I actually cried. I highly recommend Dr Ting and will forever to thankful to him.

Dr Jess Ting is an amazing Dr and I am very thankful that he did my surgery. He has a strong experience in the field and he really knows how to work with his patients. My surgery was a complete success and i look forward in working with him in the future if i ever have to. Dr Jess Ting keep up with the good work and thank you for everything.

Receptionist was not particularly nice but the doctor himself was great. Very charming and disarming. I came in with one idea for facial cosmetic surgery but he suggested a different less aggressive approach. It worked well and I am extremely happy with my new improved self. Everyone says I look great but nobody has figured out why - or maybe they're just not saying...

Was strange experience. Is not a good listener billed himself very high and had me sold, but then had a very disappointing result - very different than how he explained it.
