Dr. Jillian Laura Cohen, MD

Dr. Jillian Cohen’s passion for science began at an early age, ultimately guiding her to pursue a career in medicine. She earned her medical degree from Ross University and completed her residency at United Health Services Wilson Medical Center. Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, she practiced family medicine in one of Harlem’s most underserved communities.

Recognizing the limitations of conventional medicine, Dr. Cohen expanded her practice to embrace a more holistic approach. Coincidentally, around the time she became engaged to her now-husband, who is an acupuncturist, she began her studies in integrative medicine. Dr. Cohen completed Dr. Andrew Weil's prestigious two-year Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, followed by a one-year Fellowship at Weill Cornell’s Integrative Health and Wellbeing. There, she rose to become Fellowship Director of that same department, a position she held for several years.

Dr. Cohen …currently serves as Network Medical Director of the Integrative Health & Medicine department at Hackensack Meridian Health. She is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine, with a deep passion for understanding each patient’s unique health patterns and crafting individualized lifestyle strategies for optimal well-being.

Her expertise extends to fertility, pre- and post-natal care—areas of personal significance since becoming a mother herself. Additionally, she is trained in and excited by energy healing. Dr. Cohen is an Integrative Medicine Physician, and consultations with her complement, rather than replace, primary care visits.
