Dr. Joan E Altman-Neumann, MD

Excellent office and staff. Wonderful Doctor and she is super sweet and professional. I had such a great appointment and she actually listens to you and provides you with the best treatments. Little to no wait time and she doesn’t rush her visits. She takes the time out to make sure all you questions are answered and that you leave there feeling great!

My gyn had retired, and I was referred to Dr Neumann. I won't go into the whole story, especially how unprofessional and mean the staff were to me. She absolutely brutalized me during the exam. She hurt me soo much I was sliding towards the other end of the table. She said there was an issue, but the sonogram machine was somewhere else, so if she was this concerned about what could be wrong, you'd think I could get a sonogram immediately. When I went to the waiting area to make an appointment for this, the staff were on the phone and I stood there 15 minutes. Until, I just walked out. I am feeling so uncomfortable due to her exam, I don't know what to do. She hurt me so much, I will never ever go to her and or recommend her

Dr. Neumann is a great doctor, she takes her time with patients and cares about them. My issue is with the staff - mainly a woman named Connie. Beware of this woman, she is the most irresponsible and uncaring person I've met at a doctor's office to date. I had to call the office and ask to speak to her on several occasions because she is the one in charge of scheduling surgery. If I didn't call, she could never be bothered to give me the dates of my surgery - and I say dates because Dr. Neumann broke her arm back in May and I've been on hold for my surgery ever since, and it's now December. The last time I spoke with Connie she told me not to worry, that she would call me back the next day. She never did. She had the nerve to tell me one time when I complained that she was very busy and didn't have time to call me. Informing patients about their surgery is part or her job - so she was so busy doing her job she couldn't do her job?! Horrible, horrible uncaring person. I hope… Connie sees this so she knows how uncaring and unfit she is to work there. I'm switching doctors because while Dr. Neumann is wonderful, her staff (namely Connie) is far from it.

I have always liked this doctor and thought she was knowledgeable and informative as well as courteous and thorough. My recent experience has made me livid. I had a biopsy done over 3.5 weeks ago and I have been calling the office for 3 days now waiting for her to call me with the results. this is unacceptable for and doctor!

She is a fabulous doctor and I've trusted her for almost 20 years! Having said that though, I am now planning on getting pregnant in the near future and can not have a doctor whose staff is truly incompetent. The staff for as long as I can remember have been rude, unwilling to please and just discourteous. While planning a family I have no room in my life to tolerate such a staff. It's a shame that I had to leave this practice as the doctor is great!

I'm currently pregnant, and absolutely love Dr. Neuman. She is patient, kind, caring. I would recommend everyone to her! She always calls my husband into the room when doing the sonogram, and she always updates him, and ask if he has any questions. She is just truly an amazing doctor and person! I'm so lucky I found her!

Dr. Altman-Neumann is the BEST doctor I have ever had. I had numerous gynecological problems over the past year and she always took her time in explaining everything to me and ensuring that I received the best treatment. She is not only exceptionally knowledgable but her bedside manner is top-notch. Her office staff is also incredible and they go out their way to make sure you feel comfortable. I can honestly say, without any hesistation that Dr. Neumann is the BEST doctor I have ever had.

While the doctor was knowledgable, professional and had a nice bedside manner, her office was dirty and unacceptable.

A vary warm and caring doctor and cares about overall wellbeing!!

(I understand the office is under new management so that may account for changes from the last review.)WONDERFUL! I was a new patient. She met with me before my exam (and before I got undressed for the exam, thank you!)and spent a long time with me, taking full history, answering all my question, explaining issues. Then she did my exam and was very quick about that (some thing I think we all look for in an OB exam) but again took time to talk about any questions I had. She was very professional with a nice staff who were quick to smile. After this experiences I am going to keep her as my OBGNY as my husband and I try jumping into parenthood.
