Dr. Jody Susan Velie, MD

hands down one of the most compassionate and knowledgeable providers I’ve ever had. She takes the time to truly listen, never rushes through appointments, and treats her patients like human beings—not just charts. Even when dealing with complex medical issues, she remains calm, thoughtful, and incredibly supportive. You can tell she genuinely cares about the people she helps and goes above and beyond to make sure you're heard and respected. She’s the kind of doctor who makes you feel safe, valued, and cared for—something that’s become increasingly rare in healthcare. I’m so grateful to be in her care, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my treatment. Highly recommend her to anyone who wants a provider who combines professional excellence with a compassionate heart.

Very disorganized, and very slow with giving you your lab results. Pretty much an “I’m here to get paid kind of place” because if you want your lab results you must make an appointment. Some doctors just prefer to get paid for every little thing while some will call and give you your results and some will add them to your patient portal. They refused to change my obgyn unless I spoke with their referral specialist. My ex-provider was barely ever in. They faxed my private ultrasound results to a imaging center without my permission and lied about it to my insurance. Now it’s going to be a bigger problem. Find medical doctors and specialists in and very close to Atlanta Georgia if you can because they are the best and have a very organized healthcare system. Stay away from middle Georgia especially Perry Family Practice.

Dr. Velie is very professional and her staff is very supportive along with genuinely polite. She is definitely detailed in examining the issue presented to her. Her office is brand new with modern flairs that are tastfully constructed. Dr. Jody Velie is exceptional and noteworthy to be recommended to family, friends and everyone who ask you, who is a good GP or Doctor in the area. I give her 5 stars!!!!!*****Harold Burke

This woman should not be practicing medicine! I was misdiagnosed twice during three visits and she couldn't copy a prescription correctly that was right in front of her. Even more frightening, this doctor tries to practice psychiatry and makes life altering decisions without knowing all the facts!

This is the best, most thorough, most compassionate, most understanding physician by whom I have ever been treated. I am treated as an individual patient, not just as a generic patient. I have total confidence in her medical expertise.

Dr Velie is an outstanding doctor who takes the time and effort to fully understand your needs, issues, and circumstance for visit. She looks beyond the simple things and compares other medications, solutions and often provides additional information to keep the patient informed and aware of choices when they are appropriate.

What a great office! I come from Florida where there are very long waits in the Doctors' offices, with several dozen waiting patients. The Doctors are very short with patients (just another number), and spend very little time with patients. I walked in Dr. Velie's office and there was only one patient waiting. I was seen within 10 minutes and was greeted by very friendly staff! Doctor Velie was friendly, caring, professional, and spent quality time with me. What an incredible difference. She was amazing!

Dr. Velie has always been so helpful, knowledgeable and understanding when dealing with my family including 6 children. She is very kind and thoughtful and makes all of us feel at ease and comfortable. It is very obvious upon meeting her that she is also a mother and her warm demeanor is a breath of fresh air. I am relieved to say that we have finally found the doctor that we will keep for life - or until Jodi retires!
