Dr.Joel Williams is the Man for the job when it comes down to hip and knee surgery. I had seen a total of 3 orthopedic doctors before him that wouldn’t touch my knee, by it being a complexed fracture. I thank him an his team on the wonderful care they have given me thus far ! Dr Williams and his team were amazing through the whole process of diagnosing and treating my hip dysplasia. Everyone was polite, thorough, and empathetic to me and my family.

Dr Williams performed surgery on my 87 year old mother after a fall. She is very active and we were very concerned that would be limited. Two and a half years later she is still doing great, even Dr. Williams had to rescue us again after she took a second fall. We are eternally grateful to Dr. Williams, and highly recommend him for both his surgical skills and his patient care.

Great experience with Dr. Joel Williams and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. Came in for pain in my hip, diagnosed with osteoarthritis and recommended to lose at least 15 pounds to reduce possible complications during or after surgery, ended up losing 30 the healthly way over 3 and a half months. Had my surgery at Advocate Illinois Masonic with Dr. Williams and did have a complication and stayed in hospital 1 day. Was able to walk hours after surgery and have been home having PT the past couple of weeks. I feel great and would highly recommend Dr. Williams and his team. If you are in pain, dont wait, get it checked!

Dr. Williams operated on our daughter to repair/stabilize multiple pelvic fractures. It was a complex surgery and he did a phenomenal job. Not only was the surgery very successful, but Dr. Williams and his staff were also great in terms of answering questions and providing follow-up care. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Very please how things went. Recovery is very good, just a long process but that's the way it is with this kind of injury. Just be patient and follow what the doctor tells you. Thank you

Dr. Williams has gotten to the nucleus of my problem on my first visit and responded with an action plan that includes options to best resolve the problem in a strategic, well organized sequence.

I met Dr. Williams in the emergency room after a roller derby injury, when I folded my ankle 180 degrees and ended up with a severe pilon tib/fib fracture. You don't have to talk to him long to realize that he's extraordinarily good at what he does, very meticulous, and extremely dedicated. He takes the time to listen and address any and all concerns you might have (which isn't something surgeons are particularly noted for). He explained my surgery in detail before we went into the OR, and despite a jam-packed schedule, called my extremely nervous 73 year old mother to tell her how the surgery went while I was in the recovery room. Best of all, he's intently focused on getting you back to your normal activities - even if those activities are what brought you to him in the first place!
