Dr. John C Fang, MD

Extremely arrogant, talks down to his patients and he's ridiculously difficult to schedule an appointment with. He also likes to interrupt you mid-sentence if he doesn't want to hear what you have to say. If you enjoy being talked down to and told that your problem is "all in your head" then this is the GI doc for you!

I will begin with a disclaimer. I was not the patient Dr. Fang treated. My life partner has had a history with polyps that were severely dysplastic. She has been terrified for a couple of years. Dr. Fang was not only the bearer of good news for her, he had a bedside manner that was so reassuring that if he is not a teaching professor, he should be.

I'd seen lots of good review about this doctor. Well he was awful. I'm still the sickest I've ever been after seeing Dr. Fang. Apparently he found my symptoms amusing. He laughed at me when I explained my symptoms. Not being able to figure out a diagnosis, he tried to convince me I wasn't sick at all and sent me on my way (though my abdominal pain was too intense to stand up straight or walk.) I've never been so frustrated/disappointed in my whole life. I just want to get better. Dr. Fang is not the answer.

I heard he was a great doctor and could help me. That was wrong. He laughed at my symptoms. He diagnosed me with a disease which he admittedly said I don't match any of the symptoms of. He was the definition of unprofessional.
