Great "bedside manner"!

I visited Fairfax Hospital with an Incarcerated non-retractable umbilical hernia, and was admitted to the hospital overnight. Dr.s Dort/Hafner's staff visited me, and determined that my surgery was NOT an emergency. I had to schedule surgery from my hospital room (2 week out), and staff (not knowing I was not on mute) said "its that guy". 3 days prior to surgery, I cancelled surgery, in lieu of a consult. I thought it was wise to speak to the guy first. I made the appointment, only for them to cancel it the day before ... no reason given. Calls for further appointments, with any of their surgeons are REJECTED -- straight out of a Seinfeld episode. RUN AWAY. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

El doctor Dort es el mejor especialista que he visto, estuve con el hace 1 mes por un problema de Cálculos biliares y es tan dulce y amable, me hizo sentir confortable ya que era mi primera vez pasando por el quirófano Lo recomiendo al 100 %

I visited Dr. Dort five years ago with an inguinal hernia, which was so painful that I could barely get around. First, I have never been with a doctor who was so intrinsically KIND. He also, it turned out, had a great sense of humor too. Then he made room for me within three days in his very busy schedule. And as for the surgery, every doctor who has checked it out since--my wife is in the military and we move around a lot--said he did a terrific job. For anyone in need of an accomplished general surgeon with a wonderful "bedside manner" (and the two do not that often go together), Jonathan Dort is the man to see. Even if you live 200 miles away!

He did a Nissen fundoplication(hiatal hernia)in 1999. I new that I would need them fixed again in 10 years. But Dr. Dort left Wichita Kansas. If he was in driving distance I would be there.
