Dr. Shafik Mustafa Sidani, MD

I had a stricture due to Chron's Disease and I was in severe pain, in the hospital for about two weeks. Daily I had a team of surgeons visit me, who, in my opinion, were cocky, arrogant and cold. In spite of my pain and desperation they refused my surgery because I I could pass small amounts of gas, and I lost hope. Dr Sadani came in and talked to me. He's a young, friendly brilliant and compassionate doctor. He even scheduled my around the birth of his child. After the surgery he visited me daily to see how I was doing, offering encouragement. I saw him for follow-up appointments after my surgery and he always put me at ease and encouraged me to enjoy life and not worry, I will be OK. It's been two years since re removed the bad part of my intestine and colon, and my life is so much better. I was disappointed that he moved on from VHC, but I understand a great doctor like this will help many people wherever he goes. Truly a great doctor and a great man. he treated my like an… individual when many doctors treat sick people like nameless, faceless cattle. All doctors should be like him.

The worst experience. Patients are numbers, the more the better, more money. He will never call you , you will have to talk with assistants. He will not return your calls.

I went to see Dr Sidani today. His knowledge of my complex situation was admirable. He was able to communicate the different issues and what additional tests and information that would need to be obtained before surgery. I am not new to these type of surgeons and I liked his bedside manner. I would definitely recommend Dr Sidani.
