Dr. Joselito Carino Cabaccan, MD

Stay far, far away. Out of the blue, he just started yelling at me because he apparently didn't like my tone while speaking with him. I have to admit I was getting irritated with him because he kept repeating the same thing, like 4 times in less than 5 minutes. However, I still gave him the same answer over and over, reminding him that I had already given it to him each time. He then went on a tirade, arrogantly bragging that he's intelligent and repeating several times that people come to see him because of his brain. I then told him that he's not very smart, and if he were, then I wouldn't have to repeat the same answer to him over and over again. I also told him that he was so full of himself and to get off his high horse, and there are so many more people who are smarter than him. He then said that yes, there's a colleague of his who is smarter, and some others (in his tiny brain, probably people who studied medicine as well, and no one else). I then reminded him that he is not as… smart as he thinks he is, as he can't even remember what he said a minute ago, and that he kept repeating it over and over. I told him that some of his patients are smarter than he is, though he wouldn't admit it. He thinks that just because he went to medical school, he is above everyone else who didn't. I then told him that there are different kinds of intelligence, that, as far as EQ goes, he scores zero, and that if you average all the intelligence tests out there, his average would be low. He then tried to change his statement, saying, "I said I was smart on endocrine." I corrected him yet again, reminding him that that is not what he said; he just made a general statement that he's intelligent. He also repeatedly urged me to hit him. He kept saying, "Hit me." When I told him that I wasn't going to hit him, he changed it to, "hit me with more of your hurtful words." This guy is a horrible person. He has zero empathy for his patients and talks down to them. From the looks of it, his staff doesn't seem all that happy to be there either. Makes his patients wait two hours before he sees them. He comes into the room without knocking or acknowledging that he is coming in. He does not even greet you, ask how you're doing, or observe any formalities. The staff is crammed like sardines, working off one bench among about 4 or 5 people. The phlebotomist is drawing blood from the kitchen. How unsanitary is that? This guy deserves to have his medical license revoked or, at the very least, suspended.

I have nothing but positive reviews for Dr. Cabaccan. He is thorough and gives you details about your health for options. I have Osteoporosis and Osteopenia. He truly cares about patients. I look forward to my appointments!

Dr. Josel Cabaccan is an excellent doctor. He is patient, informative and was highly recommended by my Primary Care Physician. He was very thorough and reviews files to ensure he doesn't miss anything. I have osteopenio and osteoprosis and I always enjoy his bedside manner. I don't want a 10-15 minute rush through.

Incompetent staff! They do not submit the claims in a timely manner. Totally negligent! They have no human warmth! The staff in the office should take a course in customer service!!!

Horrible!

I was referred by my primary care physician to see Dr. Cabaccan. After reading a lot of negative reviews about him, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and not judge him based on the reviews. When I entered the clinic, the front office staff were pleasant and helped me quickly. After my vitals were taken, I was brought into one of the rooms and waited there for 45 minutes before I saw anyone. When someone finally did come in, it was a med student, not Dr. Cabaccan himself (which is not the med student's fault). While she was asking me about conditions I had, Dr. Cabaccan entered and heard that I mentioned depression. He asked me if my thyroid was checked by my psychiatrist before I was diagnosed, and I told him no. There is a link between thyroid issues and depression, so that is understandable. He began saying that he doesn't like to label people, and that I should examine if I'm just having mood swings and irritability that are normal. He then continued, saying that 75% of… students at Ivy League schools are on antidepressants, and that he feels depressed sometimes too. He clearly does not understand what depression is, and although I felt invalidated, I let it pass. At another point during the appointment, he began asking me what I thought about the Capitol Hill violence, and he began speaking about his views on Donald Trump. I felt extremely uncomfortable, but I let that pass as well. He was explaining an aspect of my health using an analogy involving cars, and somehow he began speaking about his views on Elon Musk. I do not think I have ever met a doctor as unprofessional as him. After waiting for 45 minutes, he not only invalidates my depression, but proceeds to speak about his political views instead of addressing my issues and helping me understand them. If you have another option, do not see Dr. Cabaccan.

I have been seeing this doctor for several years and he has helped me get control of my diabetes. He truly cares for his patients.

If I could give this office a zero or a negative number I would. They failed to report findings of a biopsy to my primary physician and to me. Then, they made errors in coding so that I was billed for the treatment. Then, they waited more than 3 months to correct the errors. The office personnel is rude, unconcerned, and totally uncaring. I wish there were an organization I could report them to that will investigate how they treat patients.

The staff NEVER reported the findings of my exam to my personal physician, nor did they report them to me. Someone on staff also miscoded the insurance information, causing me to be billed in the entirety for the examination, and they are not doing anything to resolve this issue.

Never got to see Dr. Cabbacan, only nurse practitioner. There is only one front office staff member, who lost my insurance card. I had to do the same labs twice due to a "clerical error". They are unwilling to reschedule appointments because I have to work and dropped me as a patient. For people who want to take care of their health but also have to work to pay the bills in this Bay area, this is not the place to go.
