Dr. Joseph Anthony Barresi, MD

This man should not be looking at women's vaginas. He gave me the creeps. Ran his finger up and down in areas that any GYN should know is not the entry point to the cervix. I don't mean to be crass, but my clitoris is off limits and does not need to be examined by anyone. I don't know if he's a creep or ignorant, but I will not be seeing him again. He also appears to be a body-shamer. I don't care if you think I'm fat. I'm paying you to check my cervix. Period. If you can't get it done, I'll see someone who can.

Unfortunately with summit medical group I was “highly encouraged” to meet all OBGYN staff during my early pregnancy despite my request to see my main obgyn. This doctor acted as if my history and physical was an inconvenience to his day. Unfortunately- my pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage, but what makes this worse is dr barressi did not even have the courtesy to call and tell me the news himself. I simply got a call from a nurse( who was sweet!) as if this was another lab result. I was never given any medical guidance on what to expect and where to go from my loss. I was simply told to “keep getting labs done til this was done.” Not to mention my labs being ordered incorrectly causing for redraws due to their error. Thankfully I have moved on to a new obgyn who FORTUNATELY caught I had an ectopic pregnancy .

My appointment was cancelled twice by this doctor's office. Extremely unprofessional way of dealing with new patients.

Dr. Barresi is a warm, wonderful human being. During and after a life-saving, sudden and traumatic obstetrical/gynecological procedure, he was amazing. He comforted me and my family, prayed with us and gave me excellent care. My family and I will be forever grateful that he took care of me during and after my life-threatening event. After the event, his office staff went out of their way to not make us wait in the waiting room, to cancel and make follow-up appointments, to file disability an d medical leave paperwork and to comfort us like family during our visits. Dr. Barresi took into account the emotional needs of my husband and children as well. I can't say enough good things about this man.

Avoid Dr. Joseph Barresi at any cost, please!! It's for your own good.
