Dr. Joseph Samuel Montgomery, MD

Dr. Montgomery is very thorough and attentive. He's personable and knowledgeable. I've been a patient of his for over a year now. The wait times are average when compared to all doctor offices. He does see preop patients in his actual office within the practice office, which might account for any "additional" wait someone in his waiting room someone might experience. But, again - He is very thorough with every patient and devotes 100% of his time to his patients once he's with them. His staff members are efficient and friendly. They DO occasionally have an issue with their phone system, but I've found that to be sporadic. The workaround is to email them to the email listed on their website.

I have been seeing Dr. Montgomery for over 15 years he is always kind and very thorough. His staff is also great.

Dr. Montgomery III saw my wife and told her that 'in general' "people" (he says he was generalizing and not referring specifically to her) don't need to take psychiatric medications. He told her that "people" could be on a desert island and be just fine. Dr. Montgomery is not a psychiatrist and acknowledged that he was not familiar with any of the psychiatric medications my wife was taking. Shamed, my wife came home in tears. I called the doctor to discuss this incident and he continued to express his sentiment that "some people" are better off without "certain medications". Dr. Montgomery told my wife to research the side-effects of the medications she takes herself to as to a symptom she was having. He was also not aware of a newer medication that is being advertised on tv for this symptom and claimed there were no such medications on the market. Go elsewhere, this doctor is not staying current and has poor communication skills.

Wait times for the doctor vary from 30 minutes to over an hour without fail. Chairs in every room are worn out and sag. The entire office is very dark and dated. The front staff is very unfriendly and rude. They close the office for lunch two hours every day and you can’t even leave a message! I had a hysterectomy that required two follow-up surgeries and each surgery Dr. Montgomery was one to over two hours late showing up for. Even when releasing me from the hospital he showed up over an hour late and for each and every time he waltzed in he never once apologized or felt bad for it or explained why. I never felt confident in his skills (he’s over 72 years old now) and truly regret ever going there.

He just performed my hysterectomy last week. He is a wonderful doctor and makes me feel comfortable. His office staff is awesome too. Come to He has a lot of experience and it shows. I highly recommend him to everyone. :)

Everyone is very friendly and kind. Doctor Montgomery easy to talk to and very understanding . I tell everyone go see him because he’s professional .

I have been his patient for over 30 years. I had fertility problems, which he corrected with major surgery and follow up s to clear scar tissue. I conceived and he delivered my baby within the next year. He also delivered my second child 4 years afterwards. I value his advice and dont mind waiting my turn, because when he is with you, he listens to your concerns and explains whatever is necessary. I hope he doesnt retire soon!

Dr.Montgomery has been by doctor for almost 5 yeas ,and the experiences have been great each visit. I highly recommend Dr.Montgomery.

Dr. Montgomery is a wonderful OBGYN. He has been my doctor for 9 years. He puts your health first especially during your pregnancy. Ask all the questions you want because he is easy to talk to and has a laid back bed side manner. Everyone in the office is friendly as well.

Dr. Montgomery is an amazing Doctor! I have suffered years with pain from heavy cycles. I scheduled my first appointment and he met with me face to face in his office before my exam. I have never had an OB do this. In my opinion, this speaks volumes for his bed side manner and character as a person. He discovered that I have fibroids and he gave my different options for treatment. I have since had surgery and feel so much better. I would recommend Dr. Montgomery to anyone that needs an OB.
