Dr. Shaeffer is a gem. There is no excuse for such office inefficiency, rudeness and lack of responsiveness. Not sure if we should take our medical care elsewhere.

May be a very good doctor, but he is very rude! I wouldn't go to him again unless noone else was available and I had to get in for an appt.

Dr. Shaeffer has been my GP for 16 years. I have confidence in his knowledge and abilities as a diagnostician. He keeps up on the latest medical information, and has suggested many non-conventional OTC aids such as low-dose aspirin, fish oil, etc, that have helped me maintain excellent health. He does not overprescribe drugs, as many doctors do. When my sister had a heart attack, and I suggested that I would like to take a statin drug as a precaution, he agreed without argument after discussing the merits and effects of the drugs. When my daughter hit her head (on a Sunday night), I called the office, and he was there. He had us come right over, recommended that we go to the hospital for X-rays, and met us there. I don't believe many doctors would be as dedicated. I highly recommend him. And the office staff has always been courteous and friendly.

Dr. Schaeffer is the best diagnostician I've ever known. I usually prefer him with his knowledge over the specialists he sends us to. He cares a lot for his patients and listens carefully to what is going on. The office staff is another matter; they need to start over and hire much better.

The office staff is nice and the wait time wasn't bad, but I wish I had never seen this doctor. He is incredibly closed minded and judgemental. No helpful medical opinions but plenty of insulting personal opinions. Waste of time and money just to leave feeling confused and offended.
