Dr. Juliet J. Spelman, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Spelman for a while now. I had my ups and downs and I am beyond fortunate to have her as my doctor. In my experience with Dr. Spelman she has gone above and beyond her "role" as a psychiatrist. I have been on many rocky roads, and she never "left me out in the cold", she stuck by me through thick and thin, and has always been supportive. Speaking for myself she is genuine, caring and compassionate. She is readily available and always goes that extra mile to meet my needs. There are not enough words to describe how awesome I feel she is. I can't thank you enough for being here for...??

She is a good psychiatrist to see if you want medication for whatever you diagnose yourself as. However, shes a candy doc. She doesnt really take past 10 minutes to listen to what you have to say. And if your being honest about a bad day, she will judge you and throw you on more meds. I dont think she is worth seeing if you actually have some type of mental health problem. She will always assume worst case scenario and puts you on the highest dose of medication for a common complaint. This is very typical with most psychiatrists. She didn't even know basic pharmacology of the medication i was prescribed. Its obvious with networking and a doctors degree and 0 experience that anyone can be a so called "doctor" or psychiatrist.

The Best Doctor I've ever had.

I have been a patient of Dr. Spelman for 10 years and in my opinion she is a stand out in her profession. She combines her skills as an experienced, highly knowledgeable physician and consummate professional, with her personable and caring nature. She listens to and will work with a patient, incorporating the latest medical advances into an individualized care plan, as opposed to just dictating a course of treatment. She is also extremely responsive to patients calls and requests, whether critical or commonplace. I highly value and recommend Dr. Spelman, as she is the true embodiment of what a physician should be.

I've been seeing Dr. Spelman for about 3 years now. She was the ONLY psychiatrist that took me seriously and properly diagnosed me, when no one else cared. All the other dr's I'd been to said I didn't have bipolar, that it was clinical depression. Not until Dr. Spelman properly diagnosed me and put me on the right meds, did I FINALLY feel normal again! What a Godsend this woman is!

Dr. Spelman was snarky and judgmental. Her bedside manner caused me tremendous anxiety.
