this was the doc on call when I checked out of the hospital with my baby. She was perfectly fine and we had consulted w our pediatrician who encouraged us to check out and he would be seeing our baby the next day and readily available to us. I have a masters degree and my husband is a fire captain. This doc told me that I had to leave the premises of the hospital immediately if I was going to leave without his consent, would have to leave my less than 24 hr daughter with him and he had the "right" to keep her as long as he wished. When I demanded he produce court papers to back up taking away my newborn he began to stammer, told me my husband couldn't read the discharge papers and told me to sign them without reading them. After a very painful delivery he refused to send me home with any pain meds and gave me no follow up instructions. I complained to Ucd and the medical board. Why is uc Davis still employing this person? Thankfully I knew my rights god help the poor woman who is sick… or in pain or needs to rely on this person in her hour of need.

This man is quite possibly one of the RUDEST doctors I've ever met. He answered none of my questions, and I felt worse about my situation when I left than when I went in. I'm not looking to conceive I have endometriosis that is out of control and my body isnt making estrogen anymore. He didn't listen to anything I said, took 2 phone calls on his cell phone while I was sitting there, and got mad when I told him I was uncomfortable with his treatment plan. I left crying, without him so much as even introducing himself or shaking my hand. He told me to not bother making a follow up, and when I walked out i said "thank you for not answering any of my questions" and he said nothing. DON'T go to him

Awful and unprofessional. Do not waste your valuable time and money. This is a male doctor by the way...not female as listed in Vitals profile. He works at UC Davis Fertility Center.

Dr. Wei is a specialist in women with endometriosis which is why my husband and I went to see him. We have been trying to conceive over a year with no luck, even though tests show that i'm ovulating (like clockwork!), that both my tubes are open, and that progression of my endometriosis has been nonexistent. A recent semen analysis suggested problems with my husband's sperm. (I'm not being specific for the sake of my husband's privacy.) In the follow up it was as if the SA never happened. Dr. Wei continued to focus on me as being the problem, and barely addressed the SA. The worse part was that when he began to explain about my corpus luteum, he said that my husband would probably understand this more so than I would since it was a matter of science. I was appalled. I have been researching female fertility and reproduction on the internet for the past six months, and charting my BBT religiously for the past four. I am an attorney in California; I passed the bar on my first try. … I was dumbstruck by the audacity of this man to suggest that I could not understand something "scientific." Dr. Wei then suggested that we do an ultrasound right then and there, performed by him. This struck me as odd b/c most doctors will have a technician do ultrasounds. I am not comfortable with a man performing an ultrasound on me and I declined. It felt as though he was just so eager to take a look inside of me, and there was no way I was going to let this happen right after he insulted my intelligence and my womanhood. I was looking for a doctor who was educated with a relevant specialty but who could also approach an issue with objectivity. Dr. Wei completely failed to meet these standards. He has no regard for the patient's dilemma and instead seems only to care about his own ego.
