Dr. Kamyar Assil, MD

When he is willing to spend more than 5 minutes with you after being an hour late, he’s great. However he is condescending, rushed, disinterested in feedback and terrible in follow up.

I have been going to Dr. Assil for back pain management for many years. Without his care and concern for my well being I think I would have retired long ago. I'm a 78 year old contractor who loves to work and keep active, and he has kept me up and moving around for a long time.. Other Doctors wanted to fuse my spine and I'm not going down that road. Dr. Assil suggested I try a spinal stimulator. After years of epidurals, I think I have found real relief. Best sleep in many years and I can now work all day and not come home in pain and take a pill!! THANK YOU DR. ASSIL.

I have been a patient of Dr. Assil for 10 years with excellent care and great results during 3 major lumbar fusion surgeries over 5 years and many years after. I continue to get biannual epidural shots at his surgery facility. He is an excellent communicator and cares very much about your pain management and your getting back to normal life. He has many ways of alleviating your pain so you can avoid getting hooked on pain pills. Plus he seems to be an all-around outstanding human being, which is nice.

I could not be happier with my results I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and had severe back and leg pain, with numbness and tingling in my legs and feet. Dr.Assil was a real life saver. I have been a patient of Dr. Assil for several years through his association with Ventura Orthopoedics in Thousand Oaks. The office staff are very pleasant and helpful. I couldn’t agree more with one other person comment about this doctor being a drug dealer with a medical disagree. Unfortunately, unless you are in need of a procedure like an epidural or Other procedural treatment, charger a SSIL would rather shut you up with a prescription and move you out his door then try to figure out reasonable options. Being an anesthesiologist was probably a good choice for him had he been working in surgery Dash that way he would not have to speak to patients. Usually I don’t care much about bedside manner because it is more important to me that a physician has scale did you was job. But the word position actually means teacher. Something that Dr. Assil does not do. He is rude rude rude.

Success after decades of neck pain, I have had a series of treatments from Dr. Assil. At first I was apprehensive of treatment at my neck. However I have had better mobility than in past with other modalities. Dr Assil and his staff have served me well. He has gone beyond pain management to helping me live pain free.

This Doctor has the worst manors of any Dr. I ever met, All he cares about is your pocket book before he even asks whats wrong, he has a rudeness to woman. If he was the only pain Doctor I would rather have the pain then deal with him, we walked out after the second appointment
