Dr. Karen Ruth Skarda, MD

I believe that my care provider, PA-C Andrew Stern is excellent at what he does. However, I am often displeased with the attitudes I get from some of the office staff. Not all the time, but periodically I will get an attitude that is less than professional. One attitude recently displayed by their Morehead City office demonstrates this. I am in between jobs and trying to get medical information together for my next job and that requires coordination with my providers and of course, that requires money, that right now I am in short supply of. Although for the last several years I have maintained a zero balance when I was aware of a bill, I always paid it. But now because I have a small balance with the Medical Center they have tentatively refused care because I do not have the money to pay this bill. Unfortunate in our day but true. Compassion has no place anymore. It's all about money.

Dr. Skarda is a patient oriented physician and takes great care of listening to your medical problems. A very good diagnostician and compassionate to your needs.
