Dr. Karl John Gebhard

Dr. Gebhard is great! Caring, thorough and intelligent.

I went to see Dr. Gebhard about a problem I was having with my eye. I expected him to say, "Oh, you have conjunctivitis", give me a quick prescription and be on to the next patient. He was very thorough and wanted to be sure that there were no other problems hidden beneath the surface. I was very pleased with the time he spent and how well he explained my problem.

I have been through several doctors over the past 5 years. Doctor Gehard and his entire staff, now located in Mission Viejo are the BEST! With the office being urgent care, I'm able to have blood work down on the weekend, and even schedule appointments for after work. Finally a Doctor that realizes to pay bills I need to be able to work regular working hours. I never feel rushed with questions. Years ago seeing Doctor Gebhard @ previous location, he was able to diagnose something that was being missed by other doctors. My family members are transferring to him now.

His office couldn't be more disorganized. I scheduled an annual physcial and when i arrived and completed the sign in paperwork, they then said that a year hadn't passed since my past appointment so my insurance may not cover it. so i decided to leave and reschedule a few weeks later. then a less than a week before my rescheduled appt, they called to say the doctor wouldn't be in. the front office is horrendous in scheduling patients. on another occusion i had one of my other doctors fax in lab results and on 2 tries, they said they had not received the fax (when the sending dr had confirmation the fax went through). something is wrong with this office.

I have been going to this office for many years. Dr Gebhard is great. I never feel rushed, he listens and I trust what he says. His office staff are ok, but better than the hospital. I have been pleasantly surprised to see him working on the weekends in his office! He really does care! All of my family sees him and so do my friends. I will never go anywhere else!

It is now 35 days after my visit. I have been trying to get cooperation from staff and doctor and have gone ignored. My pharmacy and myself have contacted the office over 15 times trying to get a medicine pre authorized. The manager promised 5 times to return my call and never did. They submitted the paper work repeatedly incorrect to my insurance after 3 weeks and numerous calls. I emailed the doctor with still no response. I mailed a handwritten letter to the doctor and he did not respond. I called and asked that the doctor return my call and will not. I have been without medication for over a month and have had to seek another doctor whom got the medication filled that day. Beyond unprofessional. I have submitted my complaint to the State medical board.

I liked the dr but the staff were a bunch of idiots. From the loud mouth red head in the front office to his medical assistant that I do not believe he knew much about anything. He kept asking another person in the back office, which seemed to be the only person who knew what what was going on. Sorry, but I wont go back.

Dr. Gebhard has been the primary physician for me and my two boys. He's great - listens well, considers my input, is supportive and friendly. The care we've received from is super!

Excellent doctor. He's smart and caring with a great bedside manner. HOWEVER, the person in charge of his patient refills is null & void. My well-known 24 hour pharmacy faxed the Dr's office on 3 different dates (March 26, 29, 31), asking for a new prescription. No reply at all. I had to drive home, call the Dr's staff, and explain the urgency of going without medication. That was at 5:41 PM. I'm back at the pharmacy(7:15 PM). Meds ready at 8:04 PM. Not the Friday night I wanted...

I first saw Dr. Gebhard 7 years ago. He really helped me with a difficult reaction to a common medication. I will always be grateful for his excellent care and compassion. I have continued to see him for various ailments as colds and eye infections. I saw him today for a cold, and I was just reminded how wonderful a Dr. he is! He is always so thorough, kind and pleasant. You really understand what the medication is for and how it should be used. Dr. Gebhard is a Dr.to whom I would send family and best friends!
