Dr. Katherine Ruth Frederick, MD

My son who is 14 has seen Dr Frederick since he was only a few months old. We love her and Dr Haberman. They are always available to be seen and everyone in the office is always very pleasant. I have referred friends to the office -- all have been very happy too.

I have two children, a boy and a girl. They have been seeing the doctors in this office, and in particular, Dr. Frederick for over eight years. Dr. Frederick is everything a doctor should be. She is very professional, but empathetic at once. She is patient and inspires confidence. She is thorough. My children have great respect for her and this helps me as a parent when reminding them to make healthy choices, as Dr. Frederick has advised them to do.

I have been searching for a Pediatrician for my 5 year old for some time now. I heard about River Valley Pediatrics from a friend and I couldn't be any happier. Dr Frederick was the most down to earth, polite, and warm physician I have seen in a long time. I also have a 9 year old who saw Dr. Haberman for a sick visit. They both seem to share an amazing love for children and what they do. The front desk was polite and helped me schedule an appointment rather quickly. I would recommend both doctors. They have a vast knowledge in Pediatric Medicine. The office itself is clean and very child- friendly.

I had a terrible experience with this doctor. The nurse (who was very nice) was helping my son get comfortable with the new environment and being patient and kind. He was agitated and distressed to be in the office. Dr Frederick stuck her head in the door, didnt say hello or interact with my son and asked if he was usually problematic or had a bad experience with doctors and suggested I come back when he was calmer. No effort was made on her part to engage with him, address him directly. I asked to see another doctor who refused to understand what just happened, also didnt address my child and then threatened to basically kick me out because she was 'losing patience' with me. Both felt fine to talk over my child, argue with me and freely use labels like 'manic' 'problematic' in front of me and my three year old. Dr Haberman finally pulled through and did a thorough check up but was not warm, had terrible bedside manner and both seem to have no idea how to interact with kids.
