A pediatrician is a doctor who specializes in the regular care of children, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of illness in children. Young patients are often more complicated to treat because they are still growing and developing.
While pediatricians may sub-specialize in specific therapy areas like oncology, surgery, ophthalmology, and anesthesiology, in general, pediatricians provide services like vaccinations, health exams, and treatment of common ailments and injuries. In addition, pediatricians are trained to handle the complex emotional and behavioral issues faced by children, especially during puberty.
Pediatricians normally see their patients from birth until the age of 18, although some may agree to treat patients into their early 20s, if requested.

15 years ago this "Dr" told me my son was going to die. She hospitalized him for 3 weeks. No medical problems were ever found. She never followed up in the hospital, or after his release. Turns out his slow weight gain was caused by a tongue tie. Because of the "treatment " provided my son is now obese and depressed. I was treated like a villan when she was the evil one.
My family Loves Dr. Tierney. My kids trust her and are relaxed. She spends time with you explaining everything very well. I feel like she gets to know All her patients very well. What stands out most for me is she's not so quick to just give the kids meds or antibiotics, and as a parent i think that's great. Dr. Tierney was also there for my wife and myself when both our children were born and has been absolutely wonderful ever since. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
