Dr. Kathryn Wood, MD

Did this office close? I have been trying to call the office for 2 days and the number isn't working. If it's closed I wished some communication had gone out. I've been a patient for over 20 yrs and now I'm not sure how to get my RX filled. Very unprofessional!

I’ve been going to Dr Wood for 5 years. She is very caring about her patient’s health. I started going to her, because I was no longer able to take oral hormone therapy due to blood clots, and my current Gyn would not considered alternative hormone therapy. While treating me for this, in my annual visits she would inquire on my health, how was feeling, etc. From these conversations, she had me tested for diabetes and thyroid condition and is now treating me for these conditions. Both conditions my internist did not catch or check out.

Though I do think she cares about your health, she cares little for the ungodly amount of time spent waiting at her office to be seen. Won't call you back on normal labs, instead makes you come in for a 2 min discussion in a separate appt. and wait again. Refused to fill my prescription for a longstanding medication because I disagreed with having to come in yet again for the same labwork that had previously been normal at her office 6 weeks prior. Found out she wouldn't refill it only after waiting weeks for it not to arrive in the mail. Didn't have the decency to call and let me know. Also, it should be clear that she does not prescribe birth control for religious reasons. I could not send my daughter to her when the time comes, for this reason. Have been a patient for many years and my constructive feedback over the years did no good.

The wait times are unreal. I waited 30 minutes to be brought back, they got me in the robe, and waiting another 40 minutes just for the doctor to come see me.

My first visit was excellent at old location in Frisco. But when the location changed and more exam rooms and patients, it seems like patient needs and concerns were no longer necessary. Staff is snipy and can hear all conversations in office area while waiting in exam room.

Very caring and genuine. Takes care of whole being.

I have been going to Dr. Wood's office since I moved to Texas almost 13 yrs ago. I have to agree with some other reviewers in that Dr. Wood is a little difficult to connect with. I usually alternate yearly between seeing her or her PA Misty Rodgers. I have found that the Dr. Wood you get all depends on her mood/health on that particular day. She's a good doctor and has given me good advice but at other times she seems almost disinterested.

Wasn't personable with me... Maybe we just didn't click? I didn't feel a true since of care or empathy. Actually left feeling a little offended and stereotyped.

Dr. Wood has been my Dr. for about 10 years and I have referred friends to her that also have been pleased. She will explore homeopathic ideas as well when it comes to your care. I will continue to recommend her.

Dr Wood has been my doctor for years- she is very accessible to her patients - you just have to ask- I have never had a problem seeing her - you just have to ask- She does run tests when I need them and I feel that this is only when she needs the most accurate information - I feel this is to help her treat me-
