Dr.Small greeted me with a pleasant welcoming smile and then proceeded to ask me questions pertaining to my condition as well as inform an update me on what the latest images revealed. He suggested a possible option, and I agreed it was worth a try. Dr. Small conducted himself professionally displaying genuine care for my health.

I had an appointment with doctor Small today at his Glendale office. Since I had seen the Doctor before Covid, and was asked if I want to participate in his research and I had said no, I thought this time he just will concentrate on my eye exam and advise me if I need further care. How I was mistaken. After extensive testing the Dr. came to talk to me and instead of concentrating on my eyes he told me in the presence of his medical assistant how it is dumb that I don’t want to take the opportunity to participate in his research. He said this procedure costs $2000.00, but because he wants to use my blood for research, the cost for me will be zero. He was aggressive and disrespectful. I thought to myself that I went to see a doctor not to participate in his research. May be I truly made a mistake to see this doctor for second time. Now I end up having to see another doctor to learn if I need any procedure on my eyes. my mistake, no one to blame I should have used my judgment and… not read the reviews!

I went to Dr. Small for a second opinion because my general ophthalmologist could not treat my retinal issue. I was diagnosed with daibetic macular edema and Dr. Small managed and treated my retinal issue. My edema has lessened and I can see way better. Thank you all!
