Dr. Kristin Kelly, MD

This is in reference to Dr. Kristin Kelly. In the beginning I thought the world of Dr. Kelly. She listened, directed, and seemed very knowledgeable to me. However, that all changed when I stopped seeing Dr. D for my Diabetes. First, Dr. Kelly wanted me to keep seeing Dr. D because she was afraid he would leave. I already removed myself from his care. Too many doctors to see, one for iron infusions, one day a week for 4 weeks, with two labs before and after, and then seeing the doctor. With all the blood work aka labs, MRI, Cat-scans, for all the other doctors, plus Chiropractic doctor one’s a week for 5 weeks. I just can’t do it anymore. Second, Dr. Kelly basically called me a liar. She asked me to ask a doctor if he could do the AIC test, which I did, and told her he said no. For her to know I wasn’t untruthful, I asked the ARPN, the next time I had an office visit, to write me a note to give to Dr. Kelly. Of course, I never talked bad about Dr. Kelly even told them she was just… overloaded with patients and having a bad day. I understand she thought I was being dishonest, she has some patients that the doctor does the A1C test for, they must work for him is what I’m thinking, because staff gave me Dr. Kelly as a reference for my primary. Next, she cut my diabetic medicine down to 2 pins from 5 pins and then I would have to call the office for refills monthly. The pharmacy told me to see Dr. Kelly about this matter, I did, at that time Dr. Kelly left me in the patient room for over an hour, I could hear her laughing in the hallway with a gentleman. When Dr. Kelly finally came in the room she told me she was looking over my paperwork. Well I’m having a hard time believing her, the only thing she mentioned was the last lab work I dropped off from another doctor, which they highlighted my B12 and D vitamin intake was too high. Last, Dr. Kelly stormed in the room wanting to know why I stopped seeing Dr. D. I told her already but tried to explain again. After she told me she would have to see me twice a year, well I think she seen me before more than that. Nevertheless, Dr. Kelly walked up to me to check my breathing and before I could even breathe in she move the spirometer to two more locations and left the room.

Today was my first time appointment with Dr. Kelly. I have to say that I was very pleased with her and her staff. She was very pleasant and seemed professional and caring She answered my questions ordered the tests needed and was very thorough. I liked that she took her time and I never felt rushed. I liked her and her staff a lot. Thank you, Dr Kelly

Receptionist and Dr.were both EXTREMELY RUDE!! I was instructed to arrive early for my appointment so it would not interfere with the Doctors schedule.I arrived at the time instructed And was addressed by a a very rude receptionist.After paying a $40 co pay I waS taken back to an exam room where I sat for over an hour.I went to reception desk to inquire how much longer .I was rudely told that the Dr.has a busy practice and it is season so An hour or longer wait should be expected. I was told that the doctor just started the exam on the patient scheduled before me so therefor it may be another hour.I returned to the exam room and continued to wait for the Doctor.about 15 minutes later the doctor came in and said I needed to wait a few more minutes.Another 15 went by and Dr.Kelly came in the exam room again but this time yelling that she is very stressed out Saying she is upset because all the doctors in Vero are leaving the practice and if I didn’t want to wait over an hour for my… appointment them I can go find another Doctor. She stormed off and walked down the hall slamming her door.NEVER have I experienced such BIZARRE behavior by a physician .She was clearly stressed out. I went to reception and ask for my$40 co pay to be reimbursed since I was not seen. Receptionist said”We dont do that” . I waited 6 months for that appointment.

Dr. Kelly is incredible. Not only has she taken great care of my health, but also she is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend becoming her patient! Also, great medical office, wonderful and warm experience from start to finish.

Over the last 6 years Dr. Kelly has lost her passion to treat, educate, and have compassion for her patients. No dialog in visits. Takes information from the nurses questions and completes her conclusion. Dr. Kelly labels non compliancy and discharges patients with no communication. Dr. Kelly will no doubt, cause someone to lose faith in medical community and be unable to receive proper care. She is a reckless physician.

I was Dr. Kelly’s patient for many years and had a strong relationship with her, treating my Type II Diabetes. My husband was her patient as well. After he had Pulmonary Emboli, I called her office to set up an appointment for my husband and was told he was no longer her patient. In my frustration, I expressed that, “if you can’t see my husband, I might not come back either.” Her front desk person replied, “that’s fine” and hung up on me. In the meantime, several months have passed and I have received emails reminding me to set up a physical. When I showed up for my six month appointment today, I was informed that I had been discharged as a patient, and that Dr. Kelly was not interested in speaking with me or in seeing me further. When I explained that I am running out of the medication that I need to stay alive, I was informed that I should go to an urgent care center. I never received any communication that I had been dropped as a patient, which would have allowed me to find other… healthcare and continue the medication that I need to stay healthy. This was very poor patient care and a harsh and unprofessional end to a years’ long medical relationship.

Trying for weeks to get an answer to a simple question regarding a prescription. Numerous telephone calls and even went to the office in person but have been completely rebuffed.

Dr. Kelly is very sociable, caring and very thorough. I highly recommend her. If she does not have the answer, she gets you where you need to be and makes sure you get the treatment you need!

We have found Dr. Kelly to be extremely professional and demonstrates a real concern for the patient's overal well being
