Dr. Kurt Mui Hong, MD

An exceptional doctor. I have been associated with many doctors within my career.. Dr. Hong is one of the top two. He is very prompt, well organized and professional. Seldom have I found a doctor who is so very knowledgeable and who is willing to spend the time with me. I highly recommend this gentleman. If you have a problem and you have searched the field, take the time to make an appointment. Your life is worth it. I have been going to him for 9 months.

I started going to Dr. Hong because my wife was seeing him for weight loss issues and highly recommended him. I have had bariatric surgery and have a host of metabolic issues. Dr. Hong has been on top of every problem and addressing them as they get sorted out. Some have said they felt rushed, never felt like that. But, he does talk VERY fast and always has a lot of information for me. I was go to my appointment with a list of questions/concerns that I have and so I can take notes while he is talking with me. I have found both of those essential to participating in my health care with him. Like many others I am so appreciative of being able to communicate with him via email. He is always prompt and helpful with his responses. While I have another Dr. I think of as my primary physician I find myself moving toward him in that role. The one thing that would stop me from doing that is that it does often take time to get an appointment with him. Still, I would highly… recommend him!

Usually i am scared of doc visit but his staff was cordial. Easy time checking in (except for first visit, had to fill out too many paperwork), but liked his office now does everything online or by email. this makes refilling my medications so much quicker. Dr. Hong is really careful with monitoring all my yearly prevention stuff so I don't have to worry. 2 thumbs up!

Moved from Miami to LA about 2 years ago. Was looking for a general internist. Was told about Dr. Hong by a friend. Very happy overall, Have seen Dr. Hong 5-6 times over the past 2 years, always professional and courteous. The doc was able to answer my usual many questions. I really find his his email communications so useful since it made things like medication refills, questions, getting appts etc. so much simpler. Happy camper here!

My husband and I have been with Dr. Hong for the past 7 years. We really like the fact that he spends a lot of time with us. I am bit hard of hearing but am really glad we found someone who genuinely cares. Because of my hearing handicap, having his personal email for access and simple questions really help to facilitate medication refills and needed referral much quicker. Will certainly recommend to others.

Been with 4 different primary doctor past 14 years, Dr. Hong is probably the most detailed and organized. Office well run and loved that he has free email access for patients to contact him anytime. Really feel like he is up to date on all the medical info and treatment recs. Will definitely be sticking with this doc!

I have been with Dr Kurt Hong, 1 1/2 yrs he works at finding the answer to your health issues. If not he finds a doctor who can. He is quick, organized, and courteous at all time, also caring to you.

Dr. Hong is a wonderful, caring, intelligent doctor. Some of the reviewers have said he's rushed but he will take as much time as you need -- just have them call him back. He will be more than happy to answer any questions

Seen Dr. Hong now about 5 times. Liked his promptness and access with email; I always have questions that I forget to ask during visit and he is pretty good with answer emails. He is good with accurate diagnosis and particularly has in depth focus on preventive care. He does a detail screening for me every 6 month on early diabetes, cancers, and heart disease. Only isssue is he does not have weekend hours but otherwise very accessible. Definitely will recommend.

Been seeing Dr. Hong for diabetes and weight issues for 2 years now. Overall happy with care and really liked his email system in communicating with me (I wish more doctors would do this). Been easy to get appointment but even better when he saves me trip to the office by answer questions by email. Very professional and knowledgeable. Have recommended my parents and sister to his care as well.
