Dr. Lance Jefferson Wright, MD

Should have googled reviews about this doctor before making appointment. Had I googled the reviews, I wouldn't have put my toes into his office.

Dr. Wright spent over 1 hour with me, mostly using an interview to get more information about my symptoms. His mind was obviously quite focused on the questions he wanted to ask and he stopped me when I tried to interrupt. We either got around to my questions or I was able to add those to the end of our discussion. Dr. Wright carefully went over his findings and why he came to certain conclusions. He then offered a range of treatment options, explaining each in depth. Reviews caused me great concern before I met Dr. Wright. I should not have worried. When I respectfully let him do his job and use the mind and experience I had hired, everything went smoothly. He was generous with his time and proactive about immediately finding MRI results that were supposed to be in my file but were not. Highly highly recommend!

Liked him a lot and found the 2 possible explanations for my problem very thorough. I will continue to see him at Semmes Murphy if I need follow up.

Gave this md 3 tries. First 2 times after discussing my problems he didn’t do anything for me. Gave me rx for muscle relaxer. Told me on both occasions “I don’t need to see you anymore. Thought I’d give him one more try. BIG MISTAKE!! Wouldn’t hardly let me discuss my problems. He is going to do one test but the paperwork I took to the checkout desk said “No Followup”! I will never set foot in this man’s office again.

After reading reviews before this I am having a hard time understanding why this person is in practice. I am a professional with many years in management. He needs help. He is rude, rolls his eyes at any opinion (Mayo or other Dr.) other than what he had already made before he starts to talk. He is arrogant, talks over you until you stop talking, etc.. He is the reverse of a compassionate caregiver and should read his oath. Seriously, he needs help. I think there is a reason he is the last picture on their site. He should drop off the list all together.

He's not rude he just got straight to the point l. He was patient with me until he found the correct medication that works for me. Then when I went back to my follow up appointment he just asked have I had any seizures, side effects or anything. I didn't have none of them so he wrote me more prescriptions and said if you have any problems let him know. No need to be in there a long time.

He has a dry sense of humor but he basically gets to the point. He was very patient with me and helped me treat my seizures.

Didn't seem to hear anything I said to him. Had to have been on drugs or has severe aspergers. Wore a strange sweater and a bow tie.

Did not listen to any of my problems and diagnosed me before really talking to me, very judgmental.
