My elderly mother is a patient of Dr. Smith. I accompany her when she sees him. Mom has a recurrent skin condition that requires close surveillance. Dr. Smith remains poised to work her in when the condition flares. I would place my life in his hands and recommend him to anyone in need of a dermatologist.

Recently my father had several small surgeries to remove cancerous growth. One of those on his right arm swelled up and started discharging liquid. We called Dr. Smith’s office several times and was told we could only see a nurse and that she would have to do a culture test. Okay ???? But Here’s the problem with this procedure which could result in injury of a patient and possibly death!!!!!!!!!! If you suspect you have an infection from a previous surgery performed in this office here is what will happen. When you go into this office the nurse will culture the infected area then they send this culture off to an outside lab. Seven or eight days later you get the results And only then do they make a decision about how to treat your festering infection if you’re still alive. So my question is if during those seven or eight days the infection becomes so bad my father’s arm will need to be amputated, Who is liable? Who is going to take responsibility for… procrastinating on a potential infection that could lead to death. This procedure which takes seven or eight days to determine the infection is actually endangering your patience lives and injuring the patients. I called this office a few moments ago to explain this problem but their spokes person just doesn’t care. Now I want everyone to understand Dr. Larry Smith is a wonderful doctor and I would recommend him to anyone. The man is really wonderful. But this policy isn’t. I don’t know if it is due to insurance law, hospital law or your employees personal policy but let’s just see how bad this infection gets. I promise you there will be repercussions for your lack of interest and action.

It's worth the wait time to see a GREAT doctor and not a PA. You can tell he cares for his patients. He knows his stuff too, always helps with whatever problem I'm having.

After waiting a month for an appointment and TWO AND A HALF HOURS TO BE SEEN, For less than ten minutes, I was told nothing but lies. All I needed was Dr. Smith's signature on an application for financial assistance on receiving a much needed medication that runs around $3,000. A month. He said I wouldn't need the application as he had reps that would provide me with this medication. His exact words were, It's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know. A week later I was called back to his office to put my signature to the paper work Dr. Smith had said we wouldn't need. Two weeks later, I called his office to follow up on the application. I was told by Jennifer she would check on it and call me back. Eight days later, with still no return call, I called the medication providers myself and they informed me they had not received the paperwork. Calling Dr. Smith's office again, I was on hold for 30 minutes and 22 seconds. I hung up and called back and spoke to Jennifer who has said, once… again, she will call me back. I paid $75.00 for the office visit and waited two and a half hours to see this poor excuse for a healthcare provider and all that's happened is he has my 75.00.
