Dr. Lawrence Clarke Layman, MD

My husband and I have been seen by Dr. Layman. He is pleasant, thorough and understanding. He took time to visit/check on me after surgery. He was awarded "Best Dr. In America". We're thankful for his 37 yrs experience/expertise. Highly recommend!

Totally agree with those that claim Dr. Layman take zero time considering your individual case. I understand that infertility is a complicated matter, but each time you meet with him feels like the first time. Was not helpful.

Staff unresponsive & borderline hostile, extensive wait times, frequently double billed. Negative aspects to Dr Layman's practice all based upon support staff, facilities, inability to contact front desk/nurses and consistent billing problems/inaccuracies.

Dr.Layman and his staff are great! I am always at ease and comfortable at each of my appointments. I have a complicated case, which is why I see Dr. Layman. He does not sugar coat any issues and will give detailed drawings and descriptions in his office notes, which I always get a copy of. Dr Layman is dedicated to helping those of us with fertility issues reach our goal of a family in any way he possibility can. He is a very intelligent, caring man who is one of the few Doctors left who still has a passion for his work! I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a little or a lot of help with fertility!!

This office is horrible! Women come to see them for help getting pregnant with the understanding that the office staff will be helpful and understanding in return. They don't have information and don't seem to give it over the phone for anything but instead make you come in for an office visit anytime you have a question. They are not friendly but instead act like you are stupid for asking questions. The doctor is ok but it always takes at least an hour of wait time to see him and he doesn't seem to take good enough notes to remember what you discussed last time. I will never go back! A possibility of doing IVF should be done at a facility that cares about their patients and the nature of the visit.

I have been seeing Dr. Layman for fertility treatment for 3 months now and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the care I have received thus far. Dr. Layman is very thorough, caring and patient. Wow! A friend recommended that I see him a few months ago. Although I live 65 miles away, I made the drive to see him. I'm very pleased with the services that I've received from his office. I'm excited he is the person who is assisting us through this process.

I have been seeing Dr. Layman for infertility and he is very thorough. He is conservative in his treatment, which I like. The office staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He is very willing to sit with me and answer all my questions. I truly feel that he is trying his best to give me the best treatment. Dr. Layman is a great doctor!

I was ordered by my hospital to visit Dr. Layman for a checkup after breaking my hand. He met with me for 20 minutes and put a splint on my hand, then he billed me for $200. The man is a thief. All of that aside, he was short with me, non caring, and the staff was rude.

He Was my doctor at the university of chicago hospitals. He was patient and took his time explaining procedures. Answered all questions.
