Licette Almonte, MD

Dr Almonte is great. I'm a breast cancer survivor for 5 years now thanks to Dr Licette Almonte, She found the lump on one of my breasts and sent me for a Mammogram and an Ultrasound the same day.

I don’t know if it’s the staff or Dr Almonte but twice in the last 3 months I’ve called with a painful, urgent matter and did not receive any help. The first time I needed medical advice because an appointment was not available for several days and pleaded in tears for a call back twice and never received one. Ended up in urgent care. This time I needed a prescription refilled asap. I called once (explaining I really needed it before the end of day) and CVS called twice in a 6 hour period but everyone left for the day without signing off on the refill script. Time to find a new doctor.

Dr. Almonte was very very nice but overall I cannot personally recommend the practice. The doctor could have listened more. The nursing staff touched a lot of things with bare hands. You have to pay to park at the hospital. Also, the cost for preventative care was higher than my insurance was willing to pay.

Dr. Almonte is new to this practice that seems to have a cult following around the Main Line and, after 2 trimesters, I know why. I've seen her about 4 times and her partner twice. The wait time can be long because she and her well known partner occasionally step out for a delivery. She is thorough, listens closely and personally makes the follow up calls. She and her partner are worth the wait.
