Dr. Linnea Ingrid Chap, MD

Dr. Chap takes the scary part out of cancer and tells you what the game plan is going to be in a friendly, non-threatening, and genuinely warm but straight forward manner. She will get you to relax and find a calm outlook while talking about a very serious topic: cancer. While it's no laughing matter having cancer, she did and still does get me to laugh during most appointments. And that's such a relief. And she ends every visit with a very genuine hug. You're in great hands with her as your oncologist. Her decades of experience in oncology means she's on point with every aspect of your cancer care.

Dr. Chap was highly recommended to me by several people, including 2 doctors. After my mastectomy I went to Dr. Chap for chemotherapy. She always explained everything and gave you a feeling of confidence as you went through the treatments. The combination of drugs she prescribed made the chemotherapy bearable - no nausea, hugh appetite, no sleep issues. After each treatment I would meet with Dr. Chap and have a long list of questions for her. She answered all my questions, no matter how long it took. Some people select doctors for their "bedside manner" but the most important reason you pick a doctor should be (especially if you have cancer) for their expertise in their field and how they are rated among their peers. Dr. Chap is one of the best breast cancer oncologist in the US!!

I am utterly appalled by the mistreatment our family has received by Dr. Linnea Chap from Premiere Oncology . A person becomes a doctor to help and cure people not act like the patient is a mere business transaction. This is exactly the sort of conduct Dr. Chap portrayed. When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer we immediately consulted with Dr. Chap about the options that we had. The treatment we received was horrifying. She did not provide any insight to my wifes condition but only condemned her to death. As a medical professional, we relied on her to take the most efficient steps to cure and treat my wifes condition. We needed to fight for her life. This was not Dr. Chaps intention. To her, my wife was just a paycheck.

This doctor is amazing. The time and concern she shares for her patients is extraordinary. She is thoughtful, thorough and reassuring. I would strongly recommend her to anyone diagnosed with breast cancer. Her academic pedigree is first rate having received her MD at the University of Chicago and then trained at Northwestern (Chicago) and UCLA. I understand she has been named one of America's top doctors and it shows. She's simply the best.
