Dr. Lisa Kay Mao, MD

Dr. Mao is a fabulous doctor. All of our immediate family have been patients for many years. She is incredibly skillful in her diagnoses (including some unusual conditions she has diagnosed for family members.) She is a kind, caring , responsive and knowledgeable professional. In short, she's the best!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mao for the past 17 years and I have found her to be extremely kind, patient, and professional. Recently, I experienced a number of unusual symptoms and saw 2 other physicians with no diagnosis. During an annual exam, on hearing my symptoms, Dr. Mao suggested I be tested for Lyme disease. The diagnosis was positive, and I was able to start treatment. I appreciate the empathy and care Dr. Mao showed with this issue. I would recommend Dr. Mao to anyone looking for an optometrist.

I have seen Dr. Mao since 1994 and have received exceptionally good care. She and her staff in Boca have taken great care of me and Dr. Mao spends a lot of time explaining things to me. Dr. Mao is a kind, caring physician. I am really impressed with her because during COVID she has helped me and checks on me to make sure I am okay.
