Dr. Lisa Renee Miller Mattson, MD

In response to the one (and only) negative review of Dr. Mattson, I felt I should share that I was referred to see her for treatment and management of my PCOS. She clearly had extensive experience and training in PCOS and I am so thankful I was referred to her. Dr. Mattson is a doctor who really listens to her patients and provides empathetic care. She is the best!

I have PCOS, diagnosed by an endocrinologist and another OBGYN. My diagnosis was delayed by 4 years because, even as I begged for help with symptoms at the UMN health center, Dr. Lisa Mattson told me PCOS is "not a real disease" and that it is somehow invented by overweight people as an excuse. Perhaps she'd like to have a look at my endocrine blood work, and the clear picture they portray. What would she call that? Unfit to practice.

While Dr. Mattson may not always be the easiest to get an appointment and at times I've had to wait for my appointment, to me it's well worth it. I know that she always will take whatever time is needed with all of her patients. Not only is she fantastic at diagnosis but her bedside manner is also wonderful. She always makes me feel at ease and helped me through a very difficult diagnosis. I feel that she trully cares about not only my health but also as a person.
