Dr. Lynette Durant Stewart, MD

The level of pain and anguish that Dr. Stewart caused my family ran so deep that I am finally at a place where I am able to leave a warning. Dr. Stewart caused the death of my first born child (son). As a newlywed and first time mother, I trusted entrusted the care of my heart's most precious possession to this doctor. This turned out to be a horrific mistake. In the beginning of my pregnancy, I suffered from spotting and bleeding. After calling multiple times and finally getting an office visit with Dr. Stewart, she told me very coldly that I would probably lose my baby in a few days. No soul to her at all. I asked if we could do an exam and if she could explain why and she simply said NO and told me to enjoy my day! After that meeting, I found a new office who requested medical records MULTIPLE times in order for me to be seen to no avail. I even went to the office to request as I needed my records in order to be seen by a high risk specialist. They REFUSED to give me my own medical… records! Later that week, at 16 weeks pregnant, I went to the bathroom and to my horror I saw my bag of waters bulging through my vagina. My husband rushed me to the ER where they performed multiple scans. They found that my cervix had funneled and had been dilated for what appeared to be WEEKS which is what was causing the bleeding that I told doctor Stewart about. They also rushed to give me antibiotics as this could have left me and my baby open to INFECTION. The ER physician called Dr. Stewart and asked why my cervix was never checked at my ultrasound appointments. He also stated that she was very cold hearted and he also apologized for the lack of care I had received up until that point. I was admitted to the hospital and 2 days later, my water broke causing me to deliver my son prematurely. The medical team I saw informed me that I have an incompetent cervix and a SIMPLE STITCH WOULD HAVE SAVED MY BABIES LIFE ??. The extreme anger and sadness that I felt was not replaced until 4 years later when I became pregnant with my 2nd child. This time, I advocated for myself and found a wonderful OB who actually cared about his patients and whom was also knowledgeable. I was given a simple stitch (cerclage) to keep my cervix closed and delivered a beautiful baby girl 4 years ago thanks to another medical team. To all of the expectant mama's out there, PLEASE RUN AND FIND SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR LIFE AND THE LIFE OF YOUR UNBORN CHILD. This woman (and I use the term lightly) is nothing more than a cold, heartless fraud. Her medical license should be revoked.

Don’t waste your time and money, this location is trash especially Rebecca and Ashley/Ashling.

I saw her for fibroids. I'm in my late 30's. When I saw her for my first appointment, she met me at the door with a male intern and asked me while all three of us were walking down the hall if he could observe my case as part of his studies. I said no because I wasn't even familiar with Stewart yet as a doctor and wouldn't feel comfortable talking about my fibroids in front of a male intern (which is why I chose a FEMALE doctor in the first place, duh). Dr. Stewart got visibly agitated when I declined the intern. She was short in her office with me, kept asking me over and over if I thought I was old and my childbearing years were behind me, to which I kept saying "no". Then she kept trying to promote having a hysterectomy (which is why she kept asking if I felt my childbearing yrs were behind me). It got really uncomfortable to me, but I was desperate for a doctor to treat the fibroids. I ended up getting a UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization) from another doctor. I had to see… Stewart again & the intern was with her again and I just said yes so she wouldn't be angry. I don't recommend her to anyone, especially another woman.

Horrible service! The top nurse Rina can't give you any information and the waiting room time is ridiculous. Why is it that every doctor in the State of Georgia can tell you the sex of your baby if you’re at least ten weeks pregnant but this office cannot until your twelve??? A bunch of bull crap. Dr. Stewart's office already billed my insurance for the seven tubes of blood. So why do I have to make another appointment and get more blood drawn for you to tell me the sex. Two young ladies at my office are currently pregnant and we all have the same insurance so find another excuse Rina.

Dr. Stewart is a kind and gentle doctor. Very thorough and easy to talk to.

Made me feel very comfortable and at ease.

The doctor and her team are always willing to listen and discuss any issues or concerns that I may have. They always makes me feel comfortable. I feel very confident about my decision to trust not only my healthcare but the delivery of my child to Dr. Stewart.
