Dr. Lynore Margaret Martinez, MD

Disrespectful staff, waited an hour for appointment, uses grocery store bought cups for urine specimen containers, unaware of how to correctly label a specimen container, clinic was not clean-e.g. they "assume" (direct quote from owner) patients wash their hands in bathrooms so they leave patient multi-use items in the bathroom (I worked in pubic health as an epidemiologist in health care associated infections for the Chicago Dept of Public Health for years-none of this would fly with us).

Dr. Martinez is fine but the office staff is rude and God forbid you call your own insurance and inform them that their billing is inaccurate they they treat you like crap. They were trying to say my insurance coverage was less than what my insurance is and attempting to charge for a service not yet provided. And their card on file agreement seems fraudulent at best. They want you to agree to a $1500 charge to your card on file before a service is provided, before insurance coverage is verified and when you question it they become rude and condescending. I transferred service to a Dr. that has transparent billing practices and doesn't get offended when you ask quesitons

You forget what people say but not how they made you feel... it was apparent that Dr. Martinez is only interested in serving patients who are going to be lucrative for her practice... she stopped accepting Medicare for example...and the posters for cosmetic enhancements in all the offices are inappropriate. I guess that's where she makes most of her money. Her bedside manner was not good. She put words in my mouth, like, well, you aren't having children so.... wow, so inappropriate, but i guess i didn't look like a baby maker/money maker. The staff I dealt with were friendly but they seemed put upon in the billing area and they charge you to share your own records with another doctor. The nurse was not unfriendly but seemed unhappy.

DR. Martinez and staff are Great. However, I would never suggest to see Jennifer Strauss. She does not give a hoot about what a patient has to say. Dr.Martinez is the best OBGYN in New Mexico.

Amazing Dr and friendly Staff that make you feel like family. She delivered my first and second baby. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and organized with everything. Great Dr I highly recommend her! Thank You Dr. Martinez you are the BEST!!!

This Doctors office just cares about $$$$$ and not the patient. That's pretty bad! When I went I had to give them my credit card up front and keep it on file and after 5 days if they do not hear from you they run your card. Ridiculous! They don't even give you time to sort it out with your insurance and bill you later it's all about the $$$$ and greed. Another thing also is the billing manager is very rude and unprofessional! Also, I was there for my first OB appointment and they had me down that I was there for something else. I couldn't even get the OB care I needed. Therefore, I took my business elsewhere to someone who cares about their patients and not about $$$.

If you can get beyond this Doctor's Staff, you MAY be fine. Otherwise do not even think about going to Dr. Martinez. I was misinformed about a procedure that I need, from the staff. (I overheard the Dr. asking her staff: WHY did someone tell her she does not need this procedure ?) I was misinformed about my Insurance acceptance, from the staff. I was treated with disrespect by the Insurance staff. I received conflicting information about my Insurance from the Doctor and the Insurance staff "specialist" . I am not sure anyone on Dr. Martinez staff knows what the other is doing. Does Dr. Martinez know what her staff is doing ?? If you DO go to Dr. Martinez, call 24 hours before your appointment, EVERY APPOINTMENT, and MAKE SURE she is still accepting your Health Insurance plan. Make sure you ask MANY questions regarding any procedures you may need. Do not trust the staff to tell you the truth. I have never been treated with such disrespect and disregard for my health… concerns. Good Luck to you if you decide to go to Dr. Martinez.

Great doctor. Highly recommended! I cant imagine seeing anyone else she is so nice and caring.

I enjoy going to a office where staff see you as a person and not as a issue. Dr. Martinez office staff was very nice and helpful and always smiled. Lilly was super nice and took the time to help me with my problem. Im very grateful with her and how she cared for me as a person and not as a problem.

Dr. Martinez delivered my baby as well as cared for me during me prenatal care.She is very kind and really listened to any concern I had. She was very proactive in ensuring that I had a healthy baby and that I stayed healthy also. Her nurses were also very kind and interested in me and my health during my office visits.I would highly recommend Dr. Martinez to anyone seeking quality OB care.
