Dr. Mack Lowell Cheney

I am saddened by the fact that this gifted and kind surgeon no longer works in Massachusetts and to read some of these reviews which seem to be from the same one disgruntled woman - probably the one who reported him. I had a wonderful experience with him! He took absolutely wonderful care of me in the late 1990’s as a 16 year old girl with low self esteem over my nose after it was broken during cheerleading and from an ex-boyfriend and Dr. Cheney brought back my confidence. He is a wonderful man and I never would have trusted anyone else with my care. 25 years later and I still think of him. A special, talented, and charismatic human.

I this doctor stopped practicing voluntarily, why??? Be very careful if you go near him and if so, run the other way

I went to him ar Mass Eye Ear for cosmetics. He actually left stitch marks under one eye! He also removed too much fat so that i have had divots these last 15 or so years. A renown eye surgeon in town told me she has had numerous women come to her after having bad cosmetic eye surgery from Dr. Cheney. One thing that’s said about him is that he is charming. He also was sanctioned in Massachusetts.

Dr. Cheney was one of the nicest, most caring and talented doctors I have ever had. I was sent to him purely by chance, and he changed my life. There are mixed reviews on this site, which absolutely shock me. Not everyone has the perfect result from cosmetic surgery, as it can be affected by many factors, many that are out of any surgeons control. Everyone heals differently, many patients DO NOT follow the doctors pre-op and post op instructions, that can drastically affect healing and your final results. Dr. Cheney would not have held the many titles and positions he held with several prestigious schools and hospitals if he did not know what he was doing. I had several procedures with him and I never had a bad experience with Dr. Cheney or his staff. I felt very fortunate to have him as a surgeon. I wish he had not retired. He was a credit to his profession.

while he was operating and talking, I felt him pull the stitches too tightly. I had excessive bruising under that eye as well. A consultation with a renown eye plastics surgeon elicited confirmed that it was his mistake and that he removed too much fat, as well.

I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting surgery performed with Dr. Cheney in the past. He has the utmost respect, consideration, and care for his patients. He works his magic and does a beautiful job!
