Dr. Marc Breslow, MD

Doesn’t deserve even one star! He shouldn’t even be in practice. This doctor spoke to me like dirt when I tried to talk to him about what I’d previously been through with my knee pain. Literally told me to “sit down and shut up or I won’t treat you!” I should have walked out. Instead I let him do the McMurray exam on my knee. He flexed it so hard, I screamed out in pain and now I can’t bear weight on my leg to walk. Have been on a walker since September 2024. My brother was a witness to everything that day. In my opinion, he crippled me and I now face a TKR or remain an invalid. In my opinion…He tore my meniscus & I have a complex root tear. I walked into his exam room feeling good & came out a cripple. Just cause he was mad at me, he ruined my life!!! I had no medial knee pain until AFTER I saw Breslow! There are other comments out there that say this doctor has a temper, doesn’t listen to his patients and if he does your surgery you’ll need a second surgery done! The above is all MY… OPINION but he never apologized to me or answered my message to him. Terrible doctor!!

I tried to tell him I had cyclops lesion after ACL & meniscus surgery, but he never listened to me. I had to ask for an MRI because he didn’t want to give me one. Then, he read it and claimed everything was fine. I’ve taken it to several other doctors since who all agree I have an obvious cyclops lesion & that it needs to be removed. They also saw other issues with my ACL graft & meniscus possibly still being torn that Dr. Breslow didn’t dare to mention. Even another doctor’s PA noticed the cyclops lesion & possible tear still in meniscus while we looked at MRI together before the doctor even came in. Breslow never listened to me & treated every examination like an ‘in & out’. Zero accountability & thoroughness. Do not go to him & honestly I don’t know how he can get away with this. He lied & was willing to let me to continue to suffer for the rest of my life. That’s absolutely evil.

I think his house was burning, otherwise I cannot find an excuse for the fact that he was super fast and didn't have the slightest to tell him when is hurt me the most, didn't have not even a suggestion of what it may be, or how should I make pain less, or to be aware. Nothing at all. Unprofessional and for sure super disappointed.

I have been experiencing pain, burning, pins/needles in both hands from carpal tunnel for about 6 years now. One doctor said it was residuals from a past stroke. I knew he was wrong and would not accept that as a diagnosis. It took me way too long to pursue an appt with Dr. Breslow. My son had carpal tunnel sugery with him so he encouaged me to see Dr Breslow. Well, I saw him yesterday and after a consult and xrays and a new EMG from another doctor, Dr Breslow suggested cortisone in both wrists. Its one day after and I feel 95% better and the referred pain and stiffness in my neck has also lessened. I cannot believe this magical cue was so simple. Cheryl P, Niles IL

Dr. Breslow was perfect in every way he dealt with my teenage daughter. She is a very active athlete and in a hurry to return to her sport. He was attentive to her needs emotionally and physically which made her clearly understand the importance of the proper recovery plan he ordered for her and in turn she had no repeat injuries and a successful return to club and high school softball after a ACL, MCL and Meniscus repair of her knee. I would highly recommend Dr. Breslow and his staff at Il Bone & Joint for any injuries, especially for teenage athletes!

In my first visit I saw that Dr. Marc Breslow is not concentrating on the patient and he is impatient. I didn't pay attention to this but that was a mistake. I had a ligaments reconstruction operation. My recovery was not good and now more than year after operation I have pain in my knee when I walk.

I'm 71 years old and athletic. I have seen my share of many orthopedists.Dr. Breslow is theist by far. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough.Yet, his communicative skills are clear and simple to understand. He treated for two complete tears in my rotator cuff and elbow issue with care, efficiency and expertise. Best of all he is caring- I trust him and his skills without qualifications.

I had an excellent recovery. I didn't need the narcotics for pain management after. Bedside manner is polite but come prepared with questions. He is short and to the point.

Dr. Breslow repaired a severed quadricep tendon that had complications. He was always available, followed up directly with personal phone calls and made us believe we were a priority which he does with all his patients. We wouldn't see anyone else. Plus we never had to wait long.

Dr. Breslow performed arthroscopic knee surgery on me for a torn meniscus. The surgery was brief, I was able to walk with the surgical bandage very quickly and felkt immediate improvement. While there was still slight pain (much better than before the surgery) it gradually improved over the next few months to the point that it disappeared. I just about have full range of motion and I'm in my mid 50s.
