Dr. Marilyn Ting, MD

It's been many years since I've seen Dr. Ting. She saved my life. She's one of the best Dr.'s I've ever known. In addition to saving my life, she taught me alot. She's also taught other doctors how to be better doctors. I jappened across this website, and wanted to give her 5 thumbs up.

Dr. Ting is very knowledgable and compassionate. The first visit as a new patient can be frustrating but after that you will get a lot accomplished, so be a patient patient. It will pay off.

I liked Dr. Ting personally. However, after 2-3 visits I had significant confidence issues and moved on. I don't expect my physician to be infallible but I do expect her to listen to her patient's concerns and to address them rather than to spend inordinate amounts of time on dietary information that I am already quite well aware of. And I do expect my physician to pay a certain amount of attention to what she is doing. Sadly that was not my experience with Dr. Ting.

I went to Dr. Ting because I was looking for a functional medicine practitioner and she is part of Dr Caskey's highly respected practice ( at least for now). The visit still traumatizes me, seriously. She could barely type and ask questions at the same time, she was alternately friendly and really mean and cutting, and she said I wasn't understanding her correctly and belittled me like a child. This was so startling and upsetting that I was almost in chock leaving the office and felt TERRIBLE all the way home in the car. This is NOT healing, or helping. There is something wrong, a personality disorder or a meanness that she enjoys revealing. Please avoid this woman. I think she is actually a danger to anyone who needs medical help.

Thinking surely if anything untoward was wrong with the tests she ordered, she would call back before the 3 week follow up appointment. Wrong! She read the CT scan during the appointment and offered no information much less a diagnosis. Lost the blood test and when I came back 3 days later, it still wasn't there. She is unprofessional, rude, can't type and talk. Another doctor gave instant reassurance and ordered the blood test that led to diagnosis the same day! Time for Dr. Ting to retire.

I had a horrific experience with this doctor and would NEVER recommend her. I don't know why she even has a medical license.

Do not make an appointment with Dr. Ting. She appeared reasonably competent and friendly at first, but this facade quickly dissolved during the course of my appointment. She was very rude to both myself and her receptionist, spoke inappropriately about my body, and did not offer solutions/suggestions to several of my concerns. She asked me a great deal of unnecessary questions, and wrote down all of my answers - questions that had nothing to do with general health, specific health concerns, or related issues. She read her notes aloud as she wrote; one note read "Has emotional issues." Her equipment appeared outdated to me. One of my concerns necessitated a vaginal exam, afterward which I could hear her rinsing the exam tools in the dingy bathroom sink. On top of this, the paper thin door separating the exam room from the waiting room afforded me the ability to hear EVERYTHING the patient whose exam was before mine said, and everything Ting said to her.

What would you think of a doctor who laughs and comments during your visit that she couldn't care less for her patients? Judgement and uncaring. Very, very strange person.

Attentive listener. Thorough examinations. Extremely intelligent and informed. Articulate with documenting history of visits. Shows a sincere level of interest to my wellness. Has made time for urgent appointments, always. Seems to have the best professional contacts for referrals.

Dr. Marilyn Ting has been my family physician for over 20 years.Dr. Ting is a Professional, she is very Considerate, kind,generous and caring person. She listens to her patients she consults with them. She gives a piece of her heart to each patient.Her staff is professional, caring and always greets patients with a smile.
