More about Dr. Mark M Allard
Dr. Allard graduated with honors from Rogers High School and he says a football knee injury and the surgery and rehabilitation that followed caused him to consider medicine as a career. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and the Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. After receiving his MD degree, Dr. Allard completed intern and residency programs at UAMS, where he was named Outstanding Resident Teacher in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also was awarded the Barton Scholarship at UAMS and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Allard is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and of the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the Arkansas Medical Society. He joined Ozark Orthopaedics in 1996 and has hospital affiliations at Siloam Springs Memorial and Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. In addition to general orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Allard's special interests include total joint replacement, fractures, and sports medicine. Dr. Allard says the most enjoyable part of medicine is spending time with patients and seeing them return to the field of play or resume their normal lifestyle. He looks forward to the completion of the new Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital and the enhanced level of care it will provide his patients.Dr. Allard's Educational Links -The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill -University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences -Stop Sports Injuries Listen to an interview with Dr. Allard -
