Dr. Mark Reisman, MD

My mother had to have a mitraclip procedure (so we thought). He surprised my mother. When we got to the point where mom was going to go in for the procedure, he said they might NOT be doing it. Her heart was in a bad way. I commented with no emotion that I though this was a done deal. He apparently took great offence (or something?) and began playing with my earlobe and snearingly saying, "You're going to be ok, you're going to be ok." I should have decked him. He also predicted mom's demise and she's really picked up in her heart health with supplemental oxygen for her severe apnea. I had to come up with that. So...if YOU CAN FIND ANY OTHER WAY TO DEAL WITH YOUR FAMILY'S HEART ISSUES, TAKE IT AND DON'T USE HIM. DON'T BE FOOLED BY HIS SOCIETIES MEMBERSHIPS. Those have nothing to do with his actual skill set. Stay away from him.

Dr Mark Reisman is a brilliant and exceptional doctor. He has performed extensive reasearch, experience, and has even published many articles on PFO and ASD closure. He is also a doctor who cares personally for his patients, explains things very thoroughly prior to procedures, follows up well, and takes an active role in treatment. I couldn’t possibly have been in better hands for my surgery and highly recommend him.

Wonderful DR, great bedside manner with all, and so full of energy. Determined to do right by you. This was a hospital ER .
