Dr. Mark Rounds

This was the worst doctor’s appointment I’ve ever experienced. Mark Rounds entered the exam room and was rude from the start. We offered to show pictures of my daughter’s year-long nasal issue, and he dismissed them. She complained of extreme soreness, yet he showed no sensitivity, aggressively swabbing her nose despite her pain. His entire demeanor was belittling and condescending—so much so that my 16-year-old daughter called him out for being rude. He also oddly pulled her out of her chair after shaking her hand, which other reviewers have mentioned. I can tolerate a rude doctor if they’re competent, but he was neither. We left with no resolution, no treatment, just his backtracking after being called out, and even that came across as condescending.

I wish I would of read these reviews before entering into the most important surgery of my life. Dr. Rounds in person seemed to be very knowledgeable and when I told him several times I wanted to make the bridge of my nose smaller and straighten out one side of my cartilage because I couldn’t breathe he kept suggesting on what he thought would be best for me. Thinking the whole time that he was listening to my request seeing that I was the one getting the surgery and paying the money you think that he would listen. He actually made the point of my nose larger, didn’t fix the cartilage that was blocking my nostrils and left me very very unhappy. I reached out to the office several times to have a word with his receptionist Nami (Humaira Huda) and she was no help either. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DR. ROUNDS AT ALL!!!! Stay away from this guy, this is a warning!!!! He will leave you in worst shape then when you went in. Terrible experience, I don’t know how this guy has not been sued… yet or lost his license. The cost for the surgery out of pocket was more than $8,500. What a waste of time and money.

Dr Rounds is a true gentleman. He performed surgery on me - all went to plan, and he followed up appropriately. His down to earth and very respectful demeanor made it much easier for me to speak freely with him when we were deciding the best course of action. I asked around before choosing him as my surgeon and the people in my town raved about how great he is. They were right. I am super happy I listened to them - he is a one of a kind!!!

Dr. Rounds is one of the best specialists in his area of expertise. I highly recommend him! He listens carefully, offers suggestions, and diagnoses conditions based on symptoms and facts, not what a book says to do. Give his office a call and make an appointment!

Dr. Rounds saw me several weeks ago on the tearing of my left eye. This problem has been going on for 2 years. Just the one eye..he was very sincere. He checked me out first, couldn't find anything wrong with my sinuses so he told me to make an appointment with this other Dr. In the meantime he said he was going to sent a prescription to my pharmacy to see how that worked. I did go to the Dr. he recommended, but they found nothing too. I picked up the prescription and couldn't believe how fast it worked. I can't tell you how many Dr's I've been to about this one eye, but Dr. Rounds figured it out. He is wonderful!! Thank you Dr. Rounds!!!! ;)

I found Dr Rounds after 2 failed sinus surgeries. I had been dealing with an ongoing infection and communication into my sinus wall from a tooth extraction. Dr Rounds was so attentive, kind and patient with me. He listened to what I had to say and reassured me that he would do his best to find the problem and repair it as soon as possible. After spending a few moments examining me, he devised a plan for surgery that not only included my maxillary sinus capsule, but also my gum. He was prompt getting my surgery scheduled, and sure enough when he went in there he discovered an infection that had been hanging around for quite some time in my gum. He also discovered a hole in the bone. He irrigated the area, put some antibiotics in there then sealed me up. I felt the success immediately, no more bad smell in nose and mouth. I have been back for 3 follow ups and finally got the okay that the issue has been resolved! I had been sick with this infection left untreated properly for over a… year and Dr Rounds discovered and repaired it on the first try. I would recommend Dr Rounds to everyone, his attention to detail and passion for his patients is something we don’t find very often these days in healthcare!

My son is an athlete who has chronic nosebleeds. We saw Dr Rounds for some help. He was down to earth, relatable, kind and realistic. Although my son had to have an uncomfortable procedure, Dr Rounds talked him through it without being dismissive or condescending and recognizing my athletic sized 16 year old’s need for pediatric care. Definitely an A+!

The same day that I had an appointment with Dr. Mark Rounds, I had another appointment later on in the day with Dr. Alan Lim and I clearly made the right choice to go with Dr. Lim. I’m someone who usually does a lot of research on any product or service that I buy. But sometimes I don’t have the time and skip it, I wished that I hadn’t with Dr. Mark Rounds since I have seen that he has a lot of negative reviews on various doctor ratings websites, and now I know why. Dr. Rounds is quite the harsh, brash buffoon of a doctor that doesn’t want to take the necessary time to describe surgical procedures or medication side effects or whatever else really. When I had pertinent questions to my orbital “blowout” floor fracture his response was “stop reading up on stuff on the internet” quote-unquote exactly. Later on in the conversation it was the exact same response in another vital question. But for me that is unacceptable. I’m not going to rely on a doctor’s decisions 100% without asking him… questions on some of them. It is my eyeball and my face that we are talking about so yes I want to know 100% exactly what we are going to do and every ramifications thereof. I feel sorry for any other naïve patient that doesn’t want to know all the details of a potential surgery, how can they be that credulous before being cut into. A relationship between a doctor and patient has to be very upfront, candid and open to all the necessary details of one’s health condition and surgeries, and you won’t find that kind of genuine sincerity with Dr. Mark Rounds.

Dr. Rounds performed surgery on my ear and throughout the process he has always been extremely kind and sincere. He listens to what I have to say and incorporates that into my treatment and care. I would highly recommend him to any of my family or friends.

I went to this doctor years ago but never again. Once was enough. The experience was so negative to this day it still irks me. He was going on vacation the next day. He was just plain nasty and rude.
